Poem 1: Moving On

Moving On

With a look in your eyes, my heart began to beat rapidly

With your honey tongue, I started trusting you

With your actions so sincere and your feelings you told were real

I hadn't noticed it, I fell in-love with you.

With no hesitation, I gave you my heart,

Hoping that you would take care of it and you would never break it apart

I became your genie who gave what you need right on time

You made me your slave, but still my love for you endures.

After all I did for you, I didn't imagine that one day you'll be gone

Like a whirlwind, you turned my world upside down

And as you left with your girl, I was left heart wounded

The pain I felt so unbearable, my heart shattered into thousand pieces.

As the days passed by, I lived my life like a living dead

I felt so numb caused by excruciating pain

I still can't imagine that our love story had come to end

Now I'm wounded and still hoping that you'll come back to me to ease the pain.

Now the ghosts of the past and our memories are haunting me;

I'm trying hard to forget you and all the moments we shared

I'm trying to erase in my mind and in my heart all the vows we made,

All those broken vows blown by the wind.

One night while I came to rest, I realized that you never loved me.

You just showed me your best act because you know that to you I'm head over heels

You played my heart on your hand and made a fool out of me

Now I know what you are, you're nothing but a man full of hypocrisy.

If you loved me for real, you would have never fooled me.

You would think that I'll be hurt if you would toy with my heart.

But you never gave a second thought about it and you hurt me with all your might;

All I can say is thank you for the pain 'coz you made me realize

Loving you would be my greatest regret,

And I am hoping that in your slumber you may rest in peace.

With what you have done, may your conscience won't bother you.

Now, I will live my life even without you.

DLC's Note:

Most part of this poem ay para sa iyo na iniwan ng taong mahal na mahal mo . Ok lang yan mahirap talaga mag move on at first, ngunit kapag nasanay ka na wala siya sa tabi mo, moving on is just a piece of cake.

And the last 3 stanzas ay para sa IYO. Oo, IKAW.

IKAW na paasa at walang modong mahilig mangiwan sa ere,

IKAW na hokage sa pagtetake-advantage at,

IKAW na walang pakundangan kung saktan ang mga taong minahal ka ng tapat.

Anyways this piece was written way back couple of years ago.
