Midnight Tears

I still remember the first time we met,

In cyber world, myth.r2game.com, Thilpussa, you were there;

A duelist who became so dear to me,

And soon enough became the man who captivated me.

In the game we became lovers which in real life became real.

One night, on Facebook you added me,

And then you messaged me,

You said HI here's my number : 09***541 If you like, you can text me.

And there, started a tale,

A story like Cupid and Psyche, one of the eight brief tales...

A story of a woman who fell in love with a guy

Who she haven't laid her eyes on even for a while.

But despite the distance that was between us,

I chose to trust you and finally, I gave you my heart

Every day with you is Valentine's Day,

Sweet words and promises were ought,

Jokes have been given and laughter had been heard...

Your voice was the most beautiful melody I've ever heard.

Everything's so perfect...

But I wondered on our fifth month you disappeared into thin air.

You didn't even leave a single trace.

Now you're gone without a word,

My mind was filled with questions and my heart, severely hurt.

I tried to call you but you never answered;

Then again, I called but you rejected;

I sent a message but you didn't reply.

Now tell me, is this how you say goodbye?

Right now, I am looking across the window,

Reminiscing our past, our memories which pretty pain me.

Looking straight to the sky we both gazed at;

Starless and only pure darkness is seen.

In the dark, still, am standing in front of the window,

With my wet cheeks and teary eyes, waiting to be wiped

Thinking how crazy things could change so fast,

Which strikes and reminds me, you're no longer mine.
