"So, Ash, um..." Chris spoke up awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck nervously.

"Yes, Chris?" She smiled brightly, enjoying the cute way he'd react when nervous, or afraid.

"I've been thinking about- us- and-" He hesitated nervously, feeling paralyzed to even speak, choking all the words back inside his mouth.

"Chris, just, spit it out." She encouraged, feeling anxious to hear this confession.

"I-I love you, Ashley." He stammered, speaking in a low voice, his words shooting out quickly.

"I love you too, Chris."

And that was that. The collision of both Chris, and Ashley. The newly created couple, people always mocked, and teased, continuously making bets, or saying something will occur, but it never does.

Josh especially urged Chris to speak up, and just spill those piled up feelings he had for all those years past freshmen year. He always called him by the nickname, Cochise, always included when talking about his unrequited love. It became less random, and more natural to him, he decided to let it pass, and move on.

But, eventually, when it reaches the time Josh faces the same paralyzation, and nervousness that Chris experienced frequently through all those years, there comes that karma called payback.

In simplicity, all Chris had to do was typically mimic everything Josh had pulled against him, and Ashley, him feeling the same annoying peer pressure.

But, there leaves one question. Who is this mystery crush of Josh's?...

Well, that's where you come in.

Both him in you felt this horrible vibe between each other whenever they were in the same room, acting nervously, like you would twirl your hair, and he would scratch the back of his neck, refusing to make eye contact with you.

And you disliked that. You not wanting these hidden feelings to effect your friendship, and tight bond with Josh.

All everyone around you hoped for was Josh to just go for it, and not be pushed away from his confessions believing the complete opposite of your response. You would never shoot him down, yourself sharing the same feelings he has, just you show them a completely different way.

You informed your friends the hard way of these hidden butterflies flourishing in your stomach, making you feel all bubbly inside. And now, this is the point they can't take watching you two anymore, and just need to give that little kick inside your mind, the real truth revealed.

"Come on, Joshy, when are you gonna man up?" Chris mocked childishly, keeping an arm around Ashley's waist, her body close up against his.

"What are you talking about-"

"You know." He insisted harshly, barging in on his very few words.

"No I-"

"Josh, you do." Ashley added, giving him a stare of disapproval, and disappointment, irritable of his continuous refusing of his so called secret.

"Okay, maybe I do." He said honestly, unable to keep up the constant lying.

"You like her, so just ask her out." Chris coaxed encouragingly, flashing him a soft smile.

"Not that simple."

"Kinda is when you put your mind to it." Chris said, exchanging quick glances with Ashley, staring back to Josh almost immediately after.
