Mike, and Matt had entered into the Vegan Café that Sam had claimed downtown. She had been decently successful here, making a decent amount of money, and getting hella good business, with a bunch of vegan customers.
She registered the two walk in together, as her mind shot into another direction. Smiles spread across their faces, a football in Matt's hand, as he and Mike tossed it back and forth within a close distance.
"Okay..." She muffled a laugh. "May I ask- what?"
"Is there a problem?" Mike retrieved the ball as he bounced it in both hands, his smile eventually fading. Matt just stared blankly as he approached the counter, where Sam had been.
"When did all of this happen?" She pointed to the two with surprise, as she found a smile raising the corners of her lips. "You know, making up?"
"I got over all of that about him, and Em." Matt said assertively, as he smiled mischievously. "But, good old Mike over here." He patted his back playfully. "Doesn't know all of the crazy shit I found out."
He leaned over the counter, closer to Sam. "You know any of the crazy shit he's talking about?" Mike whispered secretly as Sam couldn't contain herself, but to laugh.
She smiled. "Nope," she proceeded to chuckle, as she wiped down the countertops of the bar. "Nada."
He frowned, as his eyes wandered away from her, to the door. The rest of the group was expected to show up eventually. But, not yet.
They would be staying past closing, and just hang out, and do whatever. They have a Vegan Café all to themselves, so why not occupy themselves there? Perks of having a friend, who owns a business.
"Oh, Mike." Matt sighed, muffling a laugh. "Talk to Emily if you want to find out." He chuckled some more. "She told me everything about you two."
Mike's head lowered, as his face flushed with a sort of embarrassment. Matt's arms crossed as he had been enjoying what unfolded in front of him. Sam just laughed.
"Let me guess the obvious one," Sam started with bliss. "You fuc-"
"Okay, we don't need to go forward." Mike interrupted.
Sam silently mouthed something to Matt, finishing that unfinished sentence as he had nodded, and smiled, her doing the same, as she seemed pretty surprised.
"Well, glad you got over all- that." Sam said with a larger smile, as Mike gave her a more deadly stare. "Hey." She took a step back. "Can't yell at me, when you're guilty of doing- it."
Matt chuckled behind his back, as a hand came above his mouth almost immediately after.
"Sorry, sorry." He held in laughs, clearing his throat as a smile was masked behind his hand. "Won't do it again."
After all the torture they had been putting him through. Why not shoot something back?
"Aye," Mike smiled. "What can I say." He directed his focus pinpointed on Matt. "They all come crawling back."
"M'Kay Mike, it's over." Sam sighed, as her hands pressed against the countertop. "Don't make him despise you again."
The room had grown silent, as all of them wore off the more tense conversation. Well, just in time.
The door opens, as a bottle head blonde enters. "Heeeey!" She greeted happily, as her hand waved to the three.
"Hey, Jess." Sam said nonchalantly, as she came around the front of the counter, smiling.
Mike, and Matt had greeted her as well, fairly similar to what Sam had said. Besides the fact Mike had replaced 'Jess,' with 'babe,' considering they're still a couple. As shocking as it is.
She went to his side, planting a soft kiss upon his lips lovingly, as Matt choked back words that urged to spill from his mouth.
"Where's the rest of the group?" Sam asked, as her eyes set upon the door. Thank god. She stopped Matt.
The door opened once again, as the group crowded in. Josh, Ashley, Chris, Hannah, Beth, Emily. Everyone.
"There they are." She remarked happily.
Everyone was doing well. It was only about a week since their last vacation on Blackwood. Spent the weekend there, and just had some fun, doing whatever they did.
Really, when Matt, and Mike fought, the group had broken away from each other until later on. Mike had taken Jess to this guest cabin, to just air out from his little battle. His way of airing out was simple, Jess being the main role in that. Pretty obvious.
Sam wandered off upstairs to take a bath, and wasn't seen until about 4 hours after she hopped in.
Matt, and Emily just hung around with Josh, Hannah, Beth, Ashley, and Chris as they had messed around with a spirit board. Well, at least after the two had a little talk about what Matt had witnessed between the her, and Mike. More information given than what was desired, but, at least he knows.
This today, was like a reunion for them past the little vacation. They all went their separate ways, and we're picking and choosing who to hang around with in the group. Today was when Matt, and Mike got the idea to throw a football around on their schools large field just for the hell of it.
But, now...
"So," Mike perked up. "What's first for this party?"
"Football?" Matt recommended, with his hopes risen.
"I'm down," Sam cooed happily as she looked to everyone else, who nodded.
Mike came besides Matt, tapping his shoulder as he readied himself.
"I bet I could whoop your ass in getting their first," Mike said confidently, with a smile.
"Don't get your hopes up, man." He laughed.
Mike had begun to run, as he immediately dashed to the door, forcefully pushing it open with his shoulder blade. Matt followed, as he had slipped through the open doorway, as the race had begun.
"See?" Emily went beside Jess, starting conversation between them. "They finally learned how to make up after all that muscle flexing back there on the mountain."
