Grian's POV
"He's returned," I heard Ellen whisper.
"Who's returned?" I asked.
She looked up at me with fear in her eyes, normally something you wouldn't see when it comes to Ellen.
"I thought I was the only one and that I was going crazy, he can't possibly be back." She told me.
"Do you mean the shadow?" I asked.
"Come sit down," She told me before walking over to a couch.
I followed behind her and sat on the couch across from her.
"The shadow, as we're calling him, is a very dangerous creature." Ellen spoke.
"Y/N has lived in a different life, from a different century." Ellen told me.
"How is she alive now?" I asked, curious.
Ellen looked back at me.
"The shadow was her lord, she was from medevil Europe and was a slave all those years ago to him." She whispered barely loud enough for me to hear.
"I as well also worked alongside her until that one day," She continued.
"A fire started, Y/N and I were trying to help our lord.
None of us made it, the fire caused severe destruction that killed us three. Maybe others.
But coming from the family I come from I was reborn.
Our lord was born with a demon inside him, that demon came shortly after we died, when our spirits were still about and not in the next life.
That demon offered Y/N a second chance at life.
Y/N was young and stupid then, so she didn't understand.
She thought he meant the afterlife.
But she would have to harm people for the demons' entertainment.
It was selfish of her, but again she was stupid.
After the deal was made, Y/N's spirit was set free some how.
Mine was recovered by my family and I was brought back to life.
Our lord and the demon became one, but were trapped in the manor.
They have been waiting many years for Y/N to be reborn.
It was specifically Y/N because she was the closest one to our lord when he died," Ellen explained.
I was speechless. No words left my lips. I knew this world was strange but not this crazy.
I finally found my words.
"How do we help Y/N?"
I asked.
"Halloween is coming up, something will happen. I don't know if it's good or bad, all I know is that someone who has seen the shadow is going to make a choice,"
"Sam..."
