Today was my last day in my small town in England. Heck, it was probably my last time in Great Britain. I was moving to Austin, Texas to start a new life. My life in Tottenham has been terrible for the past couple of years with my mum and dad splitting up, my best friend commiting suicide because of her boyfriend's horrible behaviour towards her, and also the fact that I was declined from every college I applied for. I'm now 23 and need to start somewhere fresh. A new country can sure help me with that.

I stood near the airport doors and waited for the attendant to place my bags on the trolley. My dad was with me, his eyes were sad, but happy as well. I would definitely miss the cold weather or the crowded narrow streets of London. I didn't know how the streets or weather was like in America, being my first time going, but I just hoped I would become more intuned with all of the differences.

"Make sure to write or phone me. Or text. I don't know what you do nowadays." He smiled and pulled me into a hug that meant so much I almost didn't let go.

"I promise. Maybe you can come and visit once I have a flat or something." I said. I saw the attendant putting on my last bag and moving towards the airport doors, almost struggling to pull over my largest bag.

"And remember that job I got you with Burnie. I know how much you love video games and all, so I thought a job at his company would be perfect for you."After my dad graduated school, he went to a college in America and met a man named Michael(now calls himself Burnie) and some other people that were into video games. After my dad finished college, he went back home, but kept in touch with Burnie. During the years, Burnie had become successful in the Entertainment industry and created a company called Rooster Teeth. I've never met Burnie, but my dad trusts him and that's good enough for me. I'm supposed to stay with him until I find my own place and am able to live on my own.

"I love you, Jane." My dad said and pulled me into another embrace. I hugged him back and turned around. Walking through the doors made me want to cry. I was leaving my dad to deal with my now-alcoholic mother and a lonely house. I shook my head to rid myself of these thoughts. I smiled to myself and walked with the attendant towards the front desk. After checking about my ticket with the lady, I passed through the security check and towards my plane that was already boarding. I gave my ticket to the flight attendant and stepped onto the waiting plane that would take me to my new home.

I slept the whole time I was on the plane. When I felt my stomach tightening in my dreams, I knew we were going to land and immediately woke up. It felt like forever before I got off the plane, but soon enough I was in an airport in Texas. I quickly moved out of the way of an old couple and off to the side near a large window. I pulled out my mobile, searching through my photos. My dad had sent me a picture of what Burnie should look like. It was a college photo and the man next to my dad had a clean shaved face, a pair of glasses, and a medium sized build. I looked over moving heads, searching for the face in my mobile, but couldn't find him.

"Jane!" a voice yells out. I turned to see a woman with long, light brown hair curled in loose ringlets and large, blue eyes come up to me. That certainly wasn't Burnie, unless he had some magical sex change that made him look like a gorgeous young woman. "Burnie couldn't make it, so he sent me. I'm Ashley, his girlfriend." I shook her hand, but instead she gave me a small hug. "Let's go!"

I followed her out to a mini van that was parked in front of the airport. She took my three suitcases and put them in the boot(trunk). Once we got inside, she blasted the air and also the radio.

"We'll be going to the office first. Burnie said to bring you immediately."

"Okay. Sure! I can't wait to be working with everyone there. My dad said you also have a Youtube channel, but I haven't seen any of the videos." My foot tapped to the jazz music that thrummed in the car.

"Well you better start catching up on them," she laughed, cheerily. "So, then you don't know what you'll be doing, huh?" I nodded in agreement. "Well , hopefully you can handle a controller." It took us about 20 minutes to reach the grey, brick building. Ashley parked the car in a space and she walked me to the front door, leaving my stuff in her car. "I'll go drop them off at the house. Kara, can you show her to Burnie?" The blond haired woman at the desk near the door smiled at me and nodded to Ashley.

"Of course! Follow me....Jane right?" She asked, flipping her short hair over he shoulder.

"Yeah! How'd you know?" I asked.

Walking up some stairs, she turned her head slightly, saying," Burnie's been talking about you for the past few days, saying he can't wait to meet his old college buddy's daughter." She laughed slightly and walked me past a black door that read Achievement Hunter. From behind it, I could hear yelling and laughing, making cringe and wonder what the hell was going on beyond that door.

"What's going on in there?" I asked Kara.

"Well, it's Thursday, so Michael is filming a Rage Quit. Probably with Gavin." she said, nonchalantely.

"Rage Quit?" I asked, confused.

"Yeah. Haven't you seen our videos?" She asked, while going down a hallway.

"No, sorry. Ashley said I should probably catch up on them." I shrugged. I really need to catch up on a lot of things around here if I was going to work and communicate with people.

Kara only laughed and knocked on a door. "Burnie, Jane's here." She opened the door for me and motioned for me to go in. Once in, Kara closed the door behind me and I'm now staring at Burnie Burns. He was different from the college photo. His shaven face now had a rough looking beard, his build was much smaller, but his glasses were still upon his face.

"Wow. You look exactly like Mason. " He said and moved around his desk to give me a hug.

I laughed and hugged him back. "Is that a compliment or telling me I look like a man?"

He laughed and patted my shoulder. "It was definitely a compliment. Although you do have a deep, manly voice...." I slapped his arm lightly and we both laughed once again. It felt like I've known him forever. For almost an hour we talk about what happened the past couple of years for me, he gave his condolences for my friend's death and for my parent's divorce. I thanked him and smiled weakly from the mention of the unpleasantries.

"Would you like to see where you will be working? I know you just got here and I'm sure you want to take a nap or something, but popping in for a second and meeting the guys wouldn't hurt, right?" He asked, already getting out of his seat.

"The guys?" I asked.

"Yeah, you'll be sharing an office with five men. I hope you don't mind. I'm not too thrilled about you being the only girl in there, but we don't have that much room." He smiled gently and stood up opening the door for me. I walked through and he led me to the door where earlier there was screaming coming from behind it.

"Welcome to Achievement Hunter." He smiled and opened the door to my new job.
