Demi 

It was around 5 am when I heard Joe up downstairs. I was about had it. He never was up this early. I was only up because it was the twins' feeding time. I finished feeding Penelope and went downstairs to see Joe. "what are you still doing up?"

"I couldn't sleep." he kept his eyes on the TV, he looked tired though. I sighed. Was it a good time to ask him?

"Are you cheating on me?" his eyes moved to me.

"What?" he turned off the TV.

"Are you cheating on me, Joe? You've been acting weird lately. You missed Marley's birthday. Something is off." he got up and went to me.

"I'm not cheating on you. I have no one to cheat on you with, or do I want to. Don't you trust me? I had to work late tonight." I crossed my arms, I felt bad.

"You're lying. I trust you but Nick said you weren't even at work all day...where were you?"

He sighed, "I was at work for a little bit, but then a long time distant friend visited, so I hung out with him, babe...I'm fine."

I looked him in the eyes, I believed him, "alright...I'm going back to bed." I kissed his head then went back upstairs to our bedroom.

That was a close one. These pills are putting a damage to me already, I'm tired, but I can't sleep. I laid on the couch,watching some Games of Thrones, I actually fell asleep.

The upcoming morning, Marley woke me up for breakfast. I was exhausted but I had to go to work. I got up and had me some breakfast. I got ready for work. I kissed everyone goodbye even if Demi seemed to be upset at me. 

I got in my car and drove to the Company. I decided to go. I needed to talk to Nick. 

I parked my car and went inside. I said hello to the front desk and made my way to Nick's office.

I knocked on the door and went inside, "Joe? Where were you yesterday?" I sat down in the chair in front of his desk.

"I'll explain everything on our break. I need you to come with me during break. Would you?" he nodded his head. 

I thanked him and went to my office. I started doing work that piled up on my desk.  

Once it was break time, I led Nick to my car. We got in and I drove to the boutique. I glanced at Nick and he had a confused look.

  I parked and I led him, "Demi always wanted her boutique and I'm giving her one." I put on a big smile. I was actually proud with what I was doing.

"What about your assistant? You'll need a new one." he didn't care, he cared too much about the Company. He always spoils my mood. 

"I'll get a fucking new one, that's not the point why I brought you here,Nicholas." I crossed my arms. He looked around, the a few walls needed to be painted.
