The Date.

“Go out with you?” I looked at him,in shocked, “Yeah..I understand if it’ll be awkward to date your boss,but you don’t know how attractive yo--”

“I’ll go out with you.” I gave him a grin, “Really? How does tonight sound?” he smiled at me,playing with his french frie. “Sounds good.” I gave him my address.  “Pick you up at 6. I’ll let you leave early.” we through our trash away, “That means I have to call my best friend to pick me up.” We walked back to the office. “You don’t have a car?” he slid his hands in his pocket. “No…” I sighed. “Does that change your mind about me?”

“Never. I’ll see you tonight.” he winked and went up to his office. I head back to my office and shut the door. I sat down and called Selena. “Hello?” she was breathing heavily. “What the hell are you doing?” I asked, kind of afraid of the response, “Exercising. God get your head out of the gutter. What do you want?”

“I need you to pick me up around 4:30…” I looked out the window, “What,why? Did you get fired?” she asked, “No...I’ll tell you when you pick me up.” I hung up. I got a call from Kevin, “Hello,Mr. Jonas.”

“Please call me Kevin. Anyways. I need you to email a few people, I have faxed you the lists and what I want  you to say to them.”  I nodded my head, “Uh huh,okay. I’ll get right on that right now.” I smiled, “Thank you. Can you also come up and give me some green tea?”

I giggled,”Sure thing,Kevin.” I hung up and headed to his floor. I went to the break room and poured him some green tea. I headed inside and Joe was there, he took the tea from me, “Oh thank you Miss Lovato.” he smirked, I sighed, “Dude,what the fuck?!” Kevin glared, “I’m sorry,Demetria.”

I looked at Joe and sighed, I headed back to the break room and poured ANOTHER cup of green tea. I headed back to the office and handed it to Kevin. “Atleast you’re good at making tea.” Joe walked out. “I’m very sorry about him.”

I shrugged,”At least you and Nick are good.” I chuckled,making him laugh too. “I’ll see you later."

The day went by and I was home,getting ready for my date. “Thank you guys for watching Marley.” I was in my robe,redoing my makeup. “I can’t believe you’re going out with your BOSS.” Selena sat on my bed, “He’s cute...and he’s a gentlemen..You always said you wanted me to go back to dating,so here I am.” I smiled.

“Yeah,but I didn’t mean your boss!” Selena fixed her hair, “I’ll be fine. We’ll be fine.” I smiled and headed to my closet. I slipped on a black and blueish aztec design dress with a black leather jacket. I slipped on my black heels. “How do I looks?” I pulled my hair out of the jacket. “Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I do got one question.” she kicked her feet,making me groan, “What?”

"Why couldn’t he arrange the date to Friday? Why did it have to be now?” She chuckled,I shrugged, “Maybe he didn’t want to wait, I don’t know. “ I saw his car pull up in the driveway, “He’s here. See you Selena.” I ran downstairs. “Bye Lucy. Bye baby.” I kissed her forehead. I headed outside. “Oh hey.” he chuckled. “Hey. You look good.” I smiled at him, “Thanks..You look beautiful..It’s weird seeing you out of work clothes.” he grinned, “Same here.” I giggled, I got in his car. “So where we going?” I slipped my seatbelt on. “Cheesecake Factory and then a movie. “ he drove off. “A dinner and a movie. Classy.” I looked at him as I saw his lips form a smile.

We got to the restaurant and got seated. “Do you drink?” he looked up from the menu, “Yeah.” I giggled. “Can we have a glass of red wine,please?” NIck ordered, I grinned, “Ugh,everything looks good.” I looked at the menu, “I always get one thing when I go here.” he chuckled, “And this?”

“Grilled Pork Chops and Spinach.” I threw my head back, “Maybe this is the time you get something new.” I grinned, “I guess...it’s time to adventure out.” he nodded.

The waiter came with our wine, “Have we decided?”

“I’ll have Shrimp with Angel Hair. “ I handed him the menu, “And I’ll have Miso Salmon.” Nick ordered. “So Joe is having a party this Friday...I was wondering if you would like to go with me.” he sipped his wine. “Whoa,whoa,whoa,wait up. Joe,the grinch,is having a social event?” he laughed, “Believe he’s not the one throwing the party,it’s just at his house. He and some jerk of a friend made a deal and Joe lost the bet,so they agreed every time the friend throws a party,it’s at Joe’s. “

“That’s absolutely stupid!” I giggled,he nodded, “I know,but it’s usually pretty cool party. So what do you say?” I stirred my wine, “I’d love to.” I gave him a smile. “Can’t wait.”

“Sorry if I seem a little nervous...I haven’t done this dating scene in a long time…” I sipped my wine, “I’m guessing Marley’s father is the last guy dated?”

“No...we never dated...he actually...we were at a party...and her father..raped me…” I sighed, “I was planning on  giving her up for adoption,but when I saw her body on that ultrasound...I changed my mind...that’s when my parents disowned me...so that’s why I have been living with my best friend and her sister...I needed this job more than anything..” I looked down.

“I’m very sorry about. I know my brothers and I picked you for a reason. I’m very sorry. You’re parents are missing out on a good girl and maybe an awesome granddaughter. “

I smiled at him, “Thank you Nick.”

After we ate our meal,we shared a cheesecake. We finally left the restaurant and headed to the movies. We only bought drinks,since we were stuffed with food. We went to see The Expendables 3. It was a 2 hour movie and it wasn’t that good. After that,Nick took me home.

He walked me to the door, “Thank you for a wonderful night and sorry the movie sucked…” Nick put his hand in his pockets, “It’s fine...it’ll be a date I’ll always remember…I’d invite you inside,but my roommates are kind of embarrassing. “ I giggled.

“It’s alright. Maybe I’ll meet Marley another time. “ he licked his lips, I grabbed my keys, “Yeah,I can’t wait for you to meet her. “ I looked at him, “Thanks again, I had a good time. See you tomorrow.” I stared at him. I slowly leaned in and kissed his lips.

He pulled his hands out of his pockets and placed them on my hips as I wrapped my arms around his neck, “It’s weird kissing my boss.” I giggled against his lips, “We can stop…” he grinned, “Never.” I attached my lips to his again.

Suddenly I saw the porch light turning on and off, I sighed, “That’s my roommate. I’ll see you tomorrow.” I pecked his lips and headed inside,smiling.
