Amanda's POV

I knocked on Colton's front door after school.

"Hey Amanda." His mom smiled as she opened the door.

"Hello Mrs. Longsworth, can I speak to Colton?"

"Of course, he's in his room. Go right ahead." She smiled and walked away. I walked into the house and closed the door. I walked up the stairs and turned to my left and walked until I came to his bedroom door. I took a deep breath and knocked.

"Come in!" Colton shouted. I opened the door and peeked my head in.

"Hey Colton." I said, walking in and closing the door.

"Amanda? What are you doing here?"

"I just wanted to talk to you, we haven't hung out in so long."

"Yeah, sorry. I've been kind of wrapped up with Jen." He chuckled.

"Jennifer is actually who I came to talk to you about."

"Uhm, okay?"

"I've noticed you've been acting kind of different since you've been dating her."

"What? No I haven't."

"Yes you have Colton. You're being an asshole to all of us, especially Cassie and Brayden!"

"They were both mean to Jen so I stopped talking to them because she asked me too! I respect my girlfriend Amanda!" 

"She doesn't respect you dude! She fucking cheats on you and lies to you! For fuck sakes she kissed and wanted to fuck your best friend!"

"Oh, so now you're believing Brayden's lies too?"

"Brayden wouldn't lie Colton! You know that! You guys have been best friends for forever!"

"Well not anymore...now get the fuck out Amanda."

"Colto-"

"GET THE HELL OUT OF MY FUCKING HOUSE YOU WORTHLESS SLUT!"

"Fuck you Colton Longsworth! I hope I never see your stupid face again!" I screamed and ran out of his room, down the stairs and out of his house. I pulled out my phone and sent a message to the group chat.

Amanda~ I failed...fuck that asshole

Bryce's POV

*The Next Day*

I took a deep breath as I knocked on Colton's front door. I was Colton's last hope. If I failed, our friend was gone for good.

"Bryce!" Colton exclaimed, bro-hugging me.

"Hey man." I smiled as I walked into his house.

"I haven't seen you in so long." He said as we walked down to his basement where he kept his video games. I was invited over to play video games with him but was hoping to smack some sense into the idiot.

"I know, it's so great to hear your voice and see you again." I laughed. We sat down and Colton set up the game. 

"Yeah, sorry. With having a job, a girlfriend and trying to keep my grades up, it's hard to really make time for anything else." He explained as the game was loading.

"It's okay man. At least we get to hang out now."

"Yeah." He smiled. We started playing the game and it felt just like old times. I had almost forgotten what I was sent here to accomplish.

"So Colton," I said as I kicked his ass in Halo. "You and Jennifer are pretty serious, huh?"

"Oh yeah, we're so in love. I think she's the one."

"Dude, you're only sixteen."

"I know, but I finally found a real, mature relationship and I know I want to spend the rest of my life with this girl."

"Well, I'm glad your happy man." I lied.

"Thanks bro." He smiled.

"So, I've noticed you're not really hanging out with anyone else lately."

"Yeah, as I've said I've been so busy. Plus I found out most of my friends are lying, backstabbing assholes. Brayden tried to take the love of my life, Cassie was a bitch to my Jenny, and Amanda so clearly wants me because she came over yesterday just to convince me to break up with Jen." I bit my lip as I felt my heart drop when he talked about Amanda. I know Amanda doesn't have feelings for Colton, but just the thought tears me up inside. I have a gigantic crush on her but I don't want to ruin our friendship.

"Well, I hate to be the tenth one to say this to you, but I figured by now it would go through your thick fucking skull. Jennifer is a fucking slut. She cheats on you constantly and does not love you, she is only lustful towards you. This isn't a real relationship Longsworth, she's trying to ruin your life before she kicks your ass to the curb." All of a sudden, the game shut off. "Hey! What the fuck! I was winning!"

"Get the fuck out of my goddamn house. No one talks about my girlfriend like that! I should've known you would end up just like the others. I thought I still had one best friend but I guess not."

"Colton! Please just listen to us! We don't want you getting hurt!"

"I'm not going to get hurt! I'm happy just the way I am! Now go back to the sluts and the backstabber!" Just then, I lost it. I punched Colton in the nose and felt his bone crack beneath my fist. He felt to the ground, his hand covering his broken, bloody nose.

"Don't you dare talk about my friends like that. Goodbye Colton, I hope you enjoy being alone because I'm the only person you fucking had left." I walked out of his house and went to the group chat.

Bryce~ Broke the asshole's nose. I'm done with him.
