Chapter 114

Colton's POV

*One Week Later*

After work on Saturday, I decided to drive back to LA to see my parents. At least, that's what I'm telling everyone. What Cassie said last weekend really fucked me up and I need to talk to the only person that I can even talk to about this. My dad.

"Colton!" My mom exclaimed, hugging me as she opened the door.

"IS COLTON HERE?" I heard Caitlyn scream as she ran down the stairs. My mom stepped out of the way just in time for my sister to attack me in a hug. 

"Hey." I chuckled, hugging her tightly. 

"I missed you so much." She said.

"I missed you too." I said. Finally, I peeled her off of me and stepped into the house.

"So, what's the reason for your visit? Do you want to stay for dinner?"

"I just wanted to see you guys. And sure, dinner sounds nice."

"My boy!" My dad exclaimed as he walked out and hugged me.

"Dinner will be ready in about thirty minutes." My mom said.

"Actually dad, can we go somewhere to talk privately? I need some guy talk."

"Sure." He said, placing his hand on my back and leading me to the back door. We walked out and he closed it, sitting on the porch swing. I sat next to him and we started to swing in silence. "So, what's up?" He asked.

"I want to have sex." I blurted out.

"Um, then have it? I mean, are you asking me for permission because I think that flew out the window a long time ago."

"No! I mean-" I stopped and sighed. "-Cassie came to visit last weekend and she told me she wants me to get tested for STD's before we go further since I've had other partners. The problem is I'm broke and I don't even know where to start. So I wanted to see if you could help me try to find a cheap option."

"Well, I don't know much about getting tested since I've never had to, but I know someone who might know a thing or two about that. Come on." He said, standing up. We walked back to the house and straight to the front door.

"We'll be back!" My dad called, grabbing his keys as we quickly left. We got into his car and pulled out of the driveway. We drove for about twenty minutes before pulling up to a house that I've only seen a few times.

We got out and knocked on the door.

"Colton! Chris! How are you guys doing? I haven't seen you guys in so long!" Ashley exclaimed as he opened the door.

"Hey, can we talk?" My dad asked.

"Sure." He said, letting us in. We walked in and he led us to the kitchen. We sat down at the table, my dad and I next to each other while Ashley sat across from us.

"So, what's up? How's school Colton?"

"It's fine." I said and then looked at my dad. This is weird since I've never had a super close relationship with Ashley.

"Colton, you are a grown ass man."

"Dad." I groaned.

"We was wondering if you knew anything about getting tested for STD's." My dad asked.

"Oh boy, I think they knew me by name for a while at the clinic. I haven't had to do it in a while, but yeah, when I was younger, I was a frequent client. Why?" He asked and my dad nudged me.

"My girlfriend said we can  only take the next step if I get tested and I don't even know where to start. Plus, I'm broke."

"Hmm, getting tested usually does cost a pretty penny. Uhm, if you have insurance, whether it's your own or your parents', it should cover a good portion of the cost if you just go to a doctor. I know this is pretty personal, but when was the last time you had sex?"

"I don't know, like two years ago." I shrugged.

"You should start getting tested regularly, like every six months to a year in case one shows up, because some don't show up for years."

"Alright, thanks." I said. We stood up and he walked us out. We drove back to my parents' house and we walked in to see Caitlyn and my mom sitting at the dinner table, waiting for us.

"About time."

"Sorry." My dad said as we sat down at the table.

"So, where'd you go?" My mom asked.

"Top secret guy stuff." My dad said.

"Uhm, okay." My mom said as she began to serve dinner.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while! Work and school are kicking my ass. But, since we last talked, I turned 18, I committed to my future college, I got a raise at work  and I'm going to college with my best friend.
