Chapter 104

Colton's POV

*One Week Later*

This has been the absolute worst week of my life. Lunch sucks because Cassie and her boyfriend are always there, laughing and being happy and shit. I've been giving Sarah her space like she asked for, but it's really hard.

I was sitting at lunch, as far away from Cassie and her boyfriend, Omar, as possible. I had my head down, slowly eating my food as I heard their laughter get louder and louder. I just so happened to look up right as they were kissing. I stood up and slammed my tray into the trash. I stormed out of the cafeteria, pushing on the door so hard it swung back and slammed into the wall.

I rushed into the bathroom and paced around, tugging on my hair, tears falling from my eyes as I started to hyperventilate. I turned around and punched the wall as hard as I could, hearing the bones in my fist crack.

"Colton! What the fuck!" Brayden exclaimed as he walked into the bathroom.

"I can't fucking do this. I can't."

"What the hell is going on with you!"

"I broke up with Sarah because I love Cassie and now Cassie's swapping spit with some fuck boy! I'm supposed to be with her! This isn't fucking fair! Now, I've lost two fucking girls. I'm alone and depressed and suicidal. I can't fucking do this, Brayden!"

"Colton, Cassie has been in love with you forever and you just now figure out that you love her! What the hell, man. Sorry you fucked up, but Cassie is with someone now and she's happy, so just let her be. Get the hell over it, find someone else, try to get back with Sarah, just do something. Now come on." He said, grabbing me by my arm and dragging me out of the bathroom.

"Where are you taking me?"

"Colton, you just broke your hand. You need to go to the nurse." He said, pulling me down the hallway.

"Dude, I'm fine."

"You're going to the fucking nurse." He said, continuing to pull me to the front office.

"And where are you gentlemen going?" The front desk lady asked.

"Nurse." Brayden said and she nodded, going back to her work. He pulled me down the hallway until we reached the nurses office. We walked in and she looked up from her computer.

"Can I help you gentlemen?" She asked.

"He broke his hand." Brayden said, showing her my bloody knuckles.

"Oh my, is this your dominant hand?" She asked and I nodded.

"Okay, can you fill out this form for him and I'll be right with you." She said to Brayden, going back to her desk. Brayden grabbed a green slip of paper and started filling out my info, both of us sitting in some chairs. A minute later, she walked back out and grabbed the paper from Brayden.

"You punched a wall?" She asked, reading the paper and I nodded. "Well, let me take a look at your hand." She said as I lifted up my hand. She carefully took it in her hands and started examining it. She started moving my fingers a bit, immense pain coursing through my body.

"Ow!" I exclaimed.

"Sorry." She said and went back to her desk. She used a wet paper towel to start cleaning the blood off of my hand. She went back over with a dry paper towel, able to get a better look once the blood was gone. She went and grabbed a bag of ice, wrapping it in a paper towel and handing it to me. "This will help with the swelling." She said as I pressed the ice to my hand. "Now, do you think you can make it through the rest of the day or do you need to go home?"
