Chapter 72

Caitlyn's POV

"Hey Caitlyn." My friend Josh smiled at me as he walked into class.

"Hey." I smiled.

"Would you like to see a movie with me this weekend?" He asked.

"Sure!"

"Great, I'll text you with the details."He said as the tardy bell rang. Honestly, I had a crush on Josh. He's three years older than me but he's so funny and cute and nice. He's really tall, about 6'2" and has short black hair and brown eyes. He's in my health class and I'm excited for this weekend.

"Mom!" I called, walking down the stairs on Friday.

"Yes?" She asked from the kitchen. I walked in and leaned against the island.

"I was wondering if I could go to the movies with a friend tomorrow."

"A friend?"

"Yes! A friend!"

"Well, your dad and I have to meet this friend." My mom said, preparing dinner and I just groaned. "You know that's our rule Caitlyn."

"I know." I sighed.

"I'll talk to your dad about it when he gets home from work."

"Okay." I said, going back up to my room.

Josh knocked on the door and I rushed down the stairs but my dad beat me to the door.

"Hello. You must be Josh, I'm Chris Longsworth, Caitlyn's father." My dad smiled.

"Very nice to meet you sir." He said, holding out his hand. My dad shook it and my mom appeared behind him.

"I'm Camryn Longsworth, Caitlyn's mom."

"Nice to meet you too." Josh smiled, shaking my mom's hand.

"So, you intend to take my daughter to the movies?"

"Dad!" I groaned. "We're just friends."

"Yes sir, I do."

"Is that your car out front?" My dad asked, peering around Josh.

"Yes sir."

"How old are you?"

"Eighteen in a month." I bit my lip. It's over.

"Excuse us just one moment." My dad said closing the door. CAITLYN AUDREY LONGSWORTH!" My dad screamed at me.

"Chris, calm down, don't yell. He can hear you."

"I DON'T FUCKING CARE! SHE IS NOT GOING TO THE MOVIES WITH A GROWN MAN!"

"Dad!" I whined.

"No Caitlyn!"

"Caitlyn, why didn't you tell us how old he was?"

"I knew you would freak out." I sighed.

"HELL YEAH I'M FREAKING OUT!"

"Dad! We're just friends!"

"Bullshit!"

"Chris, just let her go."

"What? Hell no!"

"Please dad!"

"Fine." He sighed.

"Thank you!" I exclaimed, hugging both of them before opening the door. 

"Let's go." I said, rushing out of the house.

"Drive safe!" My dad called as I rushed us to his car. He opened the door for me and I got in. He walked around to his side and got in, pulling away.

"I'm so sorry about that."

"It's fine." He said, smiling at me before continuing to drive.

We got to the theater and he paid for our tickets. We got some food and went to go find seats. We sat down near the back and I began to eat my popcorn.

Halfway through the movie, Josh slipped his hand into mine. A smile crawled onto my face as I intertwined my fingers with his. Josh grabbed my chin and turned my head to face him. He leaned in and pressed his lips to mine. I kissed him back,  both of us pulling back after a bit.

"Wow." I whispered and he smiled, kissing me again. We pulled away and I rested my head on his shoulder for the rest of the movie. We went back out to his car after the movie ended and he drove me home. He walked me up to my door and I smiled up at him.

"Thank you for tonight, I had fun."

"I'm glad." He smiled. He leaned down and kissed me again. I kissed back, holding the kiss for longer than before. We pulled away and he let out a happy sigh. "Caitlyn, will you be my girlfriend?" He asked.

"Yes." I said with a giant smile. He kissed me again and hugged me tightly. i hugged him back before pulling away and putting my hand on the doorknob. 

"Goodnight Caitlyn."

"Goodnight Josh." I smiled, opening the door.

"Hello Josh, can I speak to you."

"Dad! Were you spying on us?"

"You're my daughter. It's what I do. Now, inside." I groaned and stormed into the house.

"Someone has a boyfriend!" My mom sang.

"Shut up." I smiled, blush rising on my cheeks. My dad walked back into the house.

"What did you do?" I asked.

"I just told him if he hurt you he'd have my shoe in a very uncomfortable place." I groaned and went up to my room.

"Hey!" Colton exclaimed as he walked into the room. He hugged us and then sat down.

"So, Caitlyn has some news to tell you!" My dad exclaimed with a smirk.

"Oh?" Colton wondered.

"Dad! No!"

"Come on Caitlyn!" My mom pried.

"What is going on?" Colton wondered.

"I have a boyfriend." I sighed.

"Excuse me?" Colton asked with wide eyes. 

"Only since Saturday!"

"Yeah his name is Josh and he's in her health class and he can drive and is seventeen and he's so cute!" My dad mocked me.

"Seventeen!" 

"Almost eighteen." My dad added.

"Dad!" I groaned.

"Caitlyn, what the fuck?"

"He's a good guy!" I defended him.

"Yeah, I had a talk with him on Saturday."

"Oh just wait until I get home." Colton smirked.

"Oh no!" I groaned, resting my head on the table.
