Chapter 68

Caitlyn's POV

I walked out of my room and tried to open the bathroom door but it was locked. I knocked, no answer. I checked in Colton's room to see no one.

"Colton?" I called, knocking on the door. Still no answer. I started banging on the door. "COLTON!" I screamed. Nothing. Fuck.

"MOM! DAD! I THINK SOMETHING HAPPENED TO COLTON!" My dad bolted up the stairs, my mom right behind him. I moved out of the way and my dad started banging on the door.

"COLTON! OPEN UP RIGHT NOW!" He yelled and there was still no answer. "Fuck." My dad mumbled as he started throwing his weight against the door, desperate to open it. Finally the door opened and Colton was passed out on the floor.

"Oh my god. What happened?" My mom questioned.

"I have no idea but we need to get to the hospital now." He said, scooping Colton up and running downstairs. My mom and I followed, all of us getting in the car. My mom sped to the hospital while my dad stayed with Colton. We arrived at the hospital and my dad rushed in with Colton. My mom and I walked in, my dad sitting in the waiting room.

"Do you guys have any idea of what happened?" My dad asked us and we shook our heads. "Fuck." My dad sighed. We waited around for a bit until a doctor walked in.

"Colton Longsworth?" My parents stood up and ran over. They talked with the doctor for a few moments before turning around.

"I-I'll be right back." My mom said, walking out of the hospital.

"What happened?"

"The doctors found traces of heroin in your brother's system. They're saying he overdosed. Did you know he did drugs?"

"I had no idea! Is he going to be okay?"

"Yeah, they said we got him here just in time."

"Thank god." I said.

"Come on." He said, standing up and leading me to Colton's room. We walked in and I saw my brother hooked up to multiple machines and I broke down crying.

"I knew Bella was bad for him." I cried.

"Hopefully, he'll become normal again." My dad sighed, rubbing my back.

Camryn's POV

I waited outside the hospital until my brother, Eddie, arrived.

"What happened?" He asked, rushing up to me and hugging me.

"Just follow me." I said, leading him to Colton's room. We walked in and he gasped.

"What happened?"

"They said he overdosed on heroin."

"Oh no." He sighed.

"He's going to be fine but it was just really scary." I sighed, wiping my tears.

"I bet." He said, holding me close.

"I-I just don't believe my son was using drugs. I-I was wondering if you could find any physical signs." He walked closer and picked up one of Colton's arms. He ran his finger down the length and then went to the other arm.

"Yup, here are the track marks." He said, running his fingers along the needle marks, showing me. "It looks like he bruised himself on this last injection." He said, running his finger over a small bruise. "I'm sorry Camryn." He sighed, walking back over to me and hugging me.

"I-Is he going to go to juvie again?"

"Probably just rehab for 30 days. You're going to need to wait for him to wake up so he can tell you the extent of his drug use though."

"Thank you." I said, hugging him.

"Anything for you sis." He said, kissing the top of my head before leaving. I sat in a chair in Colton's room and sighed.

"Why?" I questioned aloud.

Colton woke up a few hours later, followed by me smothering him with hugs and kisses.

"Why didn't you let me die?" He cried.

"Colton, you can't kill yourself over a girl."

"Why didn't you let me die?" He cried again. Everytime I said something, he would just repeat that. I rolled my eyes and left the room, pulling out my phone and calling my dad.

"Hello?"

"Hey, can you come to the hospital and knock some sense into Colton."

"Oh god, what did he do now?"

"Tried to kill himself over a girl."

"Fuck, I'll be right there." He said and hung up.

"Camryn! What happened?" My dad asked as he walked up to me.

"Bella and Colton broke up a while ago. He found out that she overdosed and died and after he got back from her funeral, he overdosed on heroin."

"Oh god." He groaned. "Okay, I'll be back." He said, walking into Colton's hospital room.

Brandon's POV

"Colton." I said as I walked into his hospital room.

"I don't want to talk." He mumbled.

"Fine, just listen." I said, sitting in the chair next to his bed. "I was thirteen and I fell madly in love with a new girl at my school. I saved her from the abuse she was suffering through at home and I even got Jinxx to adopt her. After all of the love I showed her, she cheated on me. I went into a really deep depression and ended up downing an entire bottle of pills, slitting my wrists and hanging myself in my closet. I ended up dying but was luckily brought back to life. I was going to kill myself over a stupid girl. She ended up trying to break you grandmother and I up so many times and your Grandaunt Bailey's ex cheated on her with that girl. I hated her for the longest fucking time. She wreaked so much havoc in my family that I could not stand the sound of her name. I had finally repaired my relationship with her and she killed herself."

"Wow, I-I didn't know that happened." He said and I nodded.

"Please don't ever kill yourself over a girl Colton. Now, I bet heroin wasn't the only drug you did."

"Bella and I experimented with different drugs and drank a lot." He admitted. "I don't want to die. I don't want to end up like Bella. I want to stop." He admitted and I smiled.

"That's very good Colton. Now just tell that to your parents and they will get you help."

"I don't want to tell them anything."

"They already know you use heroin. I'll make sure you don't get in trouble, I promise."

"Thanks grandpa." He smiled.

"No problem kiddo." I smiled, hugging him. He hugged me back and then I walked out of the room.

"Go easy on him." I told Camryn as I walked away.

Colton's POV

My mom walked back into my room and sat in the chair next to my bed.

"Bella and I experimented with drugs and alcohol. I-I'm sorry. I-I want to get help mom. I don't want to end up like Bella." I cried. She sighed and hugged me tightly.

"I don't want you to end up like that either Colton. We'll get you help, I promise. Your Uncle Eddie suggested a 30-day rehab program that I'll get you into, okay?"

"Okay." I said, nodding.

"I love you so much Colton."

"I love you too mom."
