Chapter 77
Colton's POV
*One Month Later*
"Hey, why don't you come eat lunch with us?" Brayden suggested as I was packing up my stuff.
"I-Is it okay with everyone else?" They had slowly been talking to me more during class but nothing really more than that.
"Yeah."
"Can I bring my new friends?"
"Sure." He shrugged.
"Awesome." I smiled as we walked off to lunch. We stood in the line together, talking until we got our lunch. I placed my tray down and walked over to my regular table where my friends were sitting.
"Hey, I'm starting to reconcile with my old friends, do you guys want to come sit with us?" I asked them.
"Sure." They said, grabbing their stuff and following me. They sat down next to me and I sat down as well.
"Okay, so this is Daniel and Sarah. Guys, this is Cassie, Amanda, Bryce and Brayden." I said. They all said hi to each other and then continued eating. Lunch went fine and they actually talked to me and my friends so that was cool.
*One Week Later*
My old friends started talking to me more and I ate lunch with them everyday so I'd say things are turning around.
Brayden~ Hey, we're going bowling, do you wanna come?
Colton~ Sure!
He gave me the details and I met up with them at the bowling alley. We got our shoes and got onto a lane. I had a lot of fun hanging out with them. It was just like old times. Cassie was the one that held onto the grudge for the longest but she's finally come around and they're starting to act like nothing happened between us which is great.
*One Month Later*
"Okay class, just spend the last five minutes talking." My English teacher said as she walked back to her desk. I turned to Sarah and smiled at her.
"So, I have something to confess."
"Yes?"
"I have a little bit of a crush on you."
"Oh really?"
"Yeah, how would you like to go out to dinner and a movie with me tonight?"
"I would love to." She smiled.
"Great." I said. We started making plans and then went our seperate ways.
"DAD! I NEED A RIDE!" I announced as I sprinted up the stairs. I turned on the shower and undressed, taking a shower. I quickly washed my hair and body before getting out and drying off. I walked into my room and pulled on a pair of boxers before deciding on a pair of black skinny jeans and a black button up shirt.
"Now, why do I need to give you a ride?" My dad asked as I started brushing my hair.
"Remember that girl Sarah? Well, I'm going on a date with her tonight and neither of us drive."
"Colton, should you really be getting into another relationship right now?" My dad asked, leaning against the door frame and crossing his arms over his chest.
"Dad!" I groaned. "First of all, It's been three months so I've waited a long ass time and have really gotten to know her. I really like her dad and she's not like the others! Please!" I begged.
"Fine." He sighed.
"Thank you!" I exclaimed. I brushed my teeth and then put on my shoes. I ran down the stairs and waited at the front door.
"DAD! LET'S GO!"
"God, calm down." He groaned as we headed out to the car. We got to Sarah's house and I walked up to her door. I knocked on the door and she smiled, looking as beautiful as ever. She had a knee length white dress with white ballet flats and her hair was slightly curled at the bottom.
"You look nice." I smiled, holding out my hand. She took it and walked closer to me.
"So do you." She said as we walked out to my dad's car. We got in the backseat and my dad drove us to the restaurant. He dropped us off and we walked in.
"Table for two." I told the hostess. She grabbed two menus and led us to table set for two. We sat down and started talking while we decided on what to eat. The movie theater was just a short walk from the restaurant so we decided to walk. Halfway into our walk, I reached down and grabbed her hand. She intertwined her fingers with mine as we walked.
We got to the theater and I bought two tickets for us. We got some candy and drinks, opting out on the popcorn since we just ate. We got into the theater and sat down, watching the previews and talking a bit. The movie started and halfway through, I wrapped my arm around her. She leaned into me and I smiled.
After the movie, we walked out to where my dad was waiting. We got in the backseat and he drove back to Sarah's house. I walked her to her door and we stood on her front porch.
"I had a really good time tonight Sarah." I smiled.
"Me too." She said, blush rising on her pale cheeks.
"W-Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked nervously.
"Yes." She smiled. I leaned in for a kiss and she pushed me back a bit. "I'm so sorry, I want to wait a bit before we kiss." She said.
"Understandable." I said, opening my arms. She wrapped hers around me, hugging me. I hugged her back, smiling. We pulled apart and I put my hands in my pockets. "Goodnight." I said.
"Goodnight." I smiled as I walked back to the car.
