I found some more school tips and I'm finding them very helpful. So let's get into these.
1. Don't use goggle.com for research essays. Use scholar.google.com as it will narrow down the sources to the most reliable sources.
2. Highlight terms and other important key words in your notes. I use two different colors. One for notes and one for key words.
3. Take neat notes. Try to write as neat as you can so you can actually read your handwriting better. It will also help you remember more easily.
4. Keep a planner of all the things you need to do and what's due on which days.
5. Carry a water bottle around with you, if your school allows. I know some school don't let you bring something to drink to class, not even water. I think that's absurd because it's just water. But if you can, carry a water bottle around, it will help keep you hydrated as well keep you awake if you feel a little tired.
6. It's a-okay to sit alone at lunch. I like to use my lunch period to study, do homework, and read.
7. Girls, always keep extra pads and/or tampons with you in your pencil case/pouch or in your book bag or locker. Sometimes you just never know when your period might decide to show up early or you can be a lifesaver for a friend.
8. Girls, also keep a spare change of clothes in your locker in case you need to change because your periods being a bitch this month.
9. Tell someone if you like them. You never know, if they might be too shy to say something to you first. Besides you'll never know if they like you if you don't ask.
10. Study for 30-50 minutes at a time and then take a 10 minute break before going back to studying.
11. Try sitting in the front of the class. Obviously, this is a little more difficult if the teacher gives you assigned seats or if you get to choose your seats at the beginning of the year and you didn't sit in the front. If you sit in the front, you'll be able to clearly see the board and won't have someone's big ass head in the way. If you don't sit in the front of the room and want to move to sit in the front, just ask the teacher if you can. Say you are having trouble seeing the board or concentrating from your seat. Most of the time the teacher will be willing to move you unless you have an asshole for a teacher.
12. Don't procrastinate. Do your homework on time. Avoid doing what's due the day of shit. Do it at the day/night before the due date. I try to get the assignments done as soon as possible so then I'm not worried about it then.
13. Make time to relax. Don't make yourself so fucking busy that you don't have any time except to do things for school or work, etc. Make sure you have time to do hobbies you love. For me, I make time to read and write. I also make those a priority in my life.
I think next week I'll do writing part again or maybe quotes from my senile assistant band director.
