Okay, I'm going to start with the day I moved into my dorm. This is to give you guys an idea of how my first week of college went. I'm writing this as this stuff happens. So I'm doing it by the day actually.

Saturday -- August 26

I moved in at around 10:30am. There's only 2 elevators in the building that go up to the residential floors, and of course one of them was broke and I live on the tenth floor. Luckily when I got up to the elevator, the other one just got fixed. It took about 30 minutes to move all my stuff up, and then both elevators went down. I don't know how long they were down for but I took the back staircase down and then back up. It was fucking exhausting, and my leg muscles are fucking burning. At around 2:00 I headed over to the main classroom building for a dorm building meeting that was being held at 2:30. It doesn't take more than a few minutes to walk there. I just like being early to things, you know? The meeting covered basic dorm rules like the no alcohol under 21 policy and drug policy. Then, I headed over to Magnus Fest that started at 4:00. Magnus Fest is this orientation event where we have some speaks, Playfest, and some organizations are set up. Before Magnus Fest officially started, they had a magician doing tricks up on the stage. He had a bowling ball randomly fall of a book bag after a minute of holding it upside down and had a bird catch a ring while flying over the crowd. Then Magnus Fest started. The President of the University came up and spoke. We're the biggest class in the University currently and have almost beat the record for the biggest class ever here. A few more people came up to speak like the President of the Student Government and the Provost and the new head men's basketball coach. Then, we had Playfest. If you ask me Playfest was dumb ass fuck. It was like ice breakers except you couldn't really hear what they were saying because there was so many people talking (me included) that you couldn't hear what they were saying. After Playfest we got free dinner. It was taco shit. I don't like tacos so I ate everything separate. Then we walked around the basketball stadium (where the speakers and Playfest were) and checked out different organizations and businesses. They had free samples of shit. I got a free t-shirt, popcorn, cookies, whistle, shit ton of coupons, etc. I signed up for a club/organization that specifies in pre-physician assistants to help build your resume and study together and help you get into PA school which is great because that's what I'm going to school for. Then, I sat around talking to some people for a while. I met this guy who's from a town about an hour away from where I'm from so I gave him my number. I don't remember his name and I didn't get his number, but he has mine. After that I went back to my dorm to take a shower. Then, I watched Netflix and read some before going to bed.

Sunday -- August 27

My roommate took off at like 9 this morning. I didn't ask where she was going, and I didn't really care. She's kinda a bitch. Like I didn't mind texting her, but living with her pisses me off and it's only been a day. She's such a fucking know-it-all and only talks about engineering. I stayed in the room until about 11:30 doing some cleaning, planning, and making some pages in my bullet journal. At 11:30, I went to the bookstore to pick up the one textbook I ordered online that I had sent to the store for pickup. Guys, it's a sheet of paper for an access code. Why couldn't they fucking give me the access code in an email like they did for 2 other digital textbooks? But, anyways, then I went to lunch at Viking Marketplace (the mascot for the university is a viking. His name is Magnus.). Viking Marketplace is where I can use my meal swipes, and I have 15 of those a week. It's a buffet so I can pretty much get whatever I want. For lunch I got some pizza, Caesar salad, and grapes. After lunch, I went back to my dorm for a bit and FaceTimed my brother, Vin (he's the one that's 3 years old) because my mom said he misses me. After that I read some of my anatomy & physiology textbook, like half of chapter 1, in preparation for class tomorrow since we're jumping right in. At about 2:50, I headed down to the basement (there's some classrooms down there) for a STEM Fellows Meet and Greet. We did some ice breakers and met with the head of the STEM Fellows. I met some girls from the room down the hall there, and I went to Target with them after the meet and greet. When I got back to the room, I stayed for a bit and put some stuff away before I left for dinner. I went to Viking Marketplace again and I got some grilled herb and spice chicken, spinach, grapes, and a brownie. Now, I'm back in my room and it's 7:30. I'm going to take a shower and spend the rest of the night like I did last night, Netflix and reading.
