I've had this saved in my google drive for months now and I think I should probably actually do it. And guess what? It's a fucking book/write tag.
1. what author was your biggest inspiration as a kid? what about now?
Honestly, as a kid, I was fucking obsessed with Dr. Seuss. Like I had a copy of every single one of his fucking books and quite a few of them I had more than one copy. Now, there's way too many authors to single it down to one author.
2. where does your writing inspiration come from?
My brain. I have a lot of weird ass fucking dreams, or I'll just be sitting there and it pop into my brain.
3. what is your earliest writing-related memory?
I don't remember it all that clearly because everything blurs in my mind into groups: before kindergarten, kindergarten through 5th grade, 6th through 8th grade, and 9th to 11th grade. I know that's kind of bad considering I'm only a senior now, but it all just blurs in my mind. I might be able to pinpoint an exact grade like in high school or junior high, but there's no hope for anything before 6th grade. Anyway, I remember writing random short stories, but never completing them. I don't know why I never did, nor do I remember what they were about.
4. How would you describe your writing style?
A collection of my fuck up-ed thoughts.
5. what's your favorite piece of work by you and why?
we won't Surrender. Hopefully. because I had the most fun writing it and throughout that book I never felt like giving up or just lost motivation to write it.
6. what type of writing do you prefer? (i.e. short stories, novels, poetry, etc.) which genre is your favorite to write in?
Like is this question reading related or writing related? I'll just answer it both ways.
Reading wise I love novels, like 400-500 page novels.
writing wise I love to write novels.
My favorite genre to write in would have to be fanfiction (I've written the most in this), science fiction, and fantasy.
7. How do you take constructive criticism? Are you sensitive to it, or do you generally just use it to learn from?
If it's actual constructive criticism I love and appreciate it. But if your comment is something along the lines of "I don't like *insert character's name*. This is awful and it sucks." That's is not constructive criticism. That's you just being a little bitch.
8. How old were you when you wrote your first novel, short story, etc? How many have you written since then?
The first short story, the ones that I never finished, I started writing those when I was 6 or 7. First novel, I wrote when I was 12 and it's the first novel I published here on wattpad, The Hunger Games: Peeta's POV. So it's fanfiction, but it's the first writing I actually finished.
I've written a total of 6 completed novels (5 of them fanfiction) since then.
9. Do you make your own covers?
Yes, for the most part. Some of them like An Ending have been made by FireflyForeverlark. If I didn't make I specify either in one of the chapters or in the description.
10. How do you stay motivated to write, and how do you get yourself out of writers' block?
I make it a priority in my life. I sit down and plan my week's out. I plan what I want to get accomplished in the week. Even if it's something as stupid as write 2 pages of a certain chapter or edit 2 pages of a chapter.
