Without saying anything he took his hand off of my arm and started to walk towards Bradley and James who were heading back over to the basketball court. We spent the next two hours having the guys try and teach me how to play basketball. Before we knew it we had been at the park for over four hours and it was 11 pm. We said bye to James as he got into his car and drove out of the park. I stood there not wanting to rush Bradley, but I wanted to get as far away from Logan as I could. The tension that was radiating off of him the whole time.
"Man, I am going to see you probably tomorrow." Bradley began. Logan just nodded in response. "You ready to go Teres?" Bradley continued.
"Yeah. You going to drive though?" I was hoping he would drive so I could just ride along.
"Where the keys at?" He responded and I threw him the keys that were sitting in the pocket of my sweatshirt.
We walked to the car and I got into the passenger side. I opened the glove compartment where I had left my phone. When I pushed the power button there were several messages and missed calls from Alyssa. I decided to ignore them until I had the car to myself. Bradley lived pretty close to the school, so the drive was only 15 minutes and the entire time we talked about how Bradley needed to get a job to have more time out of his house. He complained that his parents were always on him about being home too much. He was also upset that his parents were expecting their second child. They were really excited, but Bradley was used to being an only child.
With a hug Bradley walked into the house and closed the front door. Before I pulled away I opened the messages and saw that Alyssa had been texting me about Anna. After the pretty strange day I had had with Logan I decided to call her on my way home. I grabbed my headphones out of my bag and put the bud into my ear.
"Hey. What's up?" She began.
"Nothing, I just dropped Bradley at his house and am driving home. What's up with you?"
"I hung out with Anna today."
"Oh, I thought she was working today?"
"She did have to work for a few hours, but she came over afterwards and we hung out."
"How is she doing?" I asked because I knew something was off with this conversation, but I was not sure what was going on.
"She's pretty mad."
"About what?"
"She's mad that you've been hanging out with her boyfriend so much." I was pretty shocked by what Alyssa was saying. Especially that Anna was mad about me being around Logan especially when there was no chance of anything happening since he was so rude to me all of the time.
"What? She has nothing to worry about. Logan doesn't even like me." I defended myself.
"That doesn't matter. You have been with him more than she has the last few weeks."
"Woah, this is only the second time that I have actually been with him outside of school. And I have never been alone with him. She has nothing to worry about!"
"I know, I know. I just thought you should know. I know you two are on rocky grounds."
"We had the fight about Luis last year, but that doesn't mean we are rocky grounds. Why? Did she hint that we were?"
"It seemed like that to me."
"Oh, well I won't hangout with him until I can talk to her about this."
"That's probably a good idea."
"Yeah. Listen I am going to be home in a little bit so I'll text you."
"Ok. Good night!" With that we hung up the phones. From the way Logan hates me being around I think Anna and him may have had an argument about me. Logan may blame me for the problems he is having with Anna. I don't know why though. I have never been in any way flirty with him.
I pull the car into the driveway and head straight to my room, locking the front door behind me. I attach my dying phone to the charger and get into the shower. I quickly put on a long sleeve top and a pair of boyfriend briefs and jump into bed. The clock on the iPod player reads 12:43 am. My eyes are about to shut for the last time when the phone lights up and vibrates to indicate I had received a text message. I reach out from under the warm covers I had bundled up and reach over to the night stand to grab the phone. It was a text from Logan.
