"Just a few times." From the corner of my eye I saw Alyssa looking confused. Bradley smiled at me making me believe that he knew more than he was letting on.

"I mean you guys came up here to visit me."

"We sure did." Opening my eyes wide to hope Bradley got the hint to stop talking before he said something that I had kept from Alyssa. She had known we had come to see Bradley, but I had not told her that we had drove together or spent the night together that led to him wrapping his arms around me. Anna and Alyssa were still friends and if Logan wasn't here to face the wrath with me then I didn't want to face it.

"When does he come back from basic?" James asked.

"It is sometime this month. We don't know unless he tells us." I replied.

"He better come back up and see me!" Bradley said as he looked back towards the mountain we were walking towards.

"You two have the weirdest romance, I swear." I joked.

"Yeah, well when God gives you his soul mate you just have to embrace it!" He joked back.

"How is college treating you this semester?"

"Well, it just started about a two weeks ago so there isn't much going on. How about you James?" Bradley asked as he looked back at Alyssa and James walking behind us on the narrow path.

"The fraternity I'm in is amazing, dude. I have to keep a good GPA, but the babes are worth it." I shake my head at his statement and laugh.

"I bet you're right man! Girls are pretty nice here too!" Bradley said as he turned around to put a hand on his shoulder.

"You guys know that there is more to college than just girls?" I inserted joking.

"Wait? There is?" Bradley seriously joked. I smirked back at him and traded spaces with James on the path to be next to Alyssa.

"Bradley makes it seem like you and Logan hung out a lot?" Alyssa questioned reaffirming my worries.

"Yeah, it wasn't a lot. Just a few times." It was just a few times, but those times were more than memorable.

"Have you guys ever done anything?"

"What do you mean?"

"Like kiss?"

"What? No." I said trying to act like the question was surprising. "Why would I want the wrath of Anna on me?"

"Anna would be pissed. She loved him." I decided to remain quiet instead of replying to her defense for Anna. "She is trying to move on. I mean she has met someone that she really likes and they have gone on a few dates. Even though she won't admit it, I think she isn't entirely over what happened."

"If she is seeing someone she really likes then maybe she is over him."

"There really isn't any easy way to get over seeing your ex with someone else." I took my eyes off of her and looked back to the ground where we were walking.

"I don't think that is entirely true. I mean if Luis ever were to meet someone else and I found out about it I don't think I would mind."

"You really did meet someone didn't you?" She asked in a hushed voice.

"Why would you say that?"

"Because seeing your ex with someone else isn't easy unless you have someone yourself."

"It doesn't mean I have someone. It means that Luis just wasn't the best boyfriend. I don't think I actually ever loved him." This statement was true. I wasn't going to admit that I liked Logan, but I also know that I enjoy being in the same room as Logan more than I ever liked hanging out with Luis.

"Really?" She asked confused.

"Yeah, I mean he drove us apart and he wasn't the greatest guy."

"Like how?"

"Do you remember that bruise I had gotten from playing volleyball?"

"Yeah, the one on the side of your ribs."

"Well, I lied. That wasn't from volleyball."

"Theresa, no!" She whispered.

"Yeah. We were in the middle of an argument and I got up to walk away, but he didn't want to leave the conversation there. He reached across the table and grabbed my arm. He pulled me back and made me hit the side of the table."

"That bastard!" She said. Both Bradley and James turned around to look at us. "Sorry." Alyssa smiled. They turned back around and kept walking.

"I would appreciate it if you didn't tell anyone about this." I said.

"Why? People should know the kind of person he is."

"I hate being viewed as the victim."

"I'm so sorry Theresa. I wish you would have come to me about this."

"I would have loved to, but this was when we weren't speaking and I didn't want to bring an argument between Luis and me to the rest of the school. Besides, that whole thing is behind me now."

"Ok, just jump in one of these cars when it comes to a stop." Bradley said once we reached the bottom of the mountain.

The next car came and Bradley pulled the metal door open. He allowed us to get in and then closed the door behind him. The ride to the top of the mountain was short and we got off to grab large round tubes from large barrels.
