Chapter 86

"Yesterday was a lot of fun!" Alyssa said as we walked down to her kitchen.

"It was really fun seeing them both again." I said as I grabbed a glass from her cabinet and filled it with water.

"Do you ever wish that you went away for college?"

"Sometimes I do, but I would have missed out on a lot here."

"I'm happy you stayed around. I was thinking about changing my future."

I took a drink from the cup. "What do you mean?"

"I want to look into joining the Air Force." She looked at me and waited for me to respond.

"Is that something you really want to do?"

"I mean my whole family is in the Air Force and I am use to it. I don't like college and the Air Force can get me a good job."

"Well if this is something your serious about then I am all for it!" She went on to tell me all about the stuff she had found out about joining. After finishing my cup of water and an orange for breakfast I gathered my things and drove home.

"How was your weekend?" My mom asked as I walked into the kitchen.

"It was a lot of fun to see the old gang again." I responded as I sat my backpack onto the chair by the table.

"So I wanted to run something past you."

"Sure?"

"Well, I was going to see if you wanted to take a trip this week to North Carolina to see your aunt."

"Um, but I have college." I would have been willing to skip class, but I didn't want to miss Logan coming back.

"Yeah, I was guessing you would be willing to skip a few classes."

"Isn't your anniversary this week?"

"Yeah."

"What if you and dad went by yourselves and have fun?"

"What about your sister and brother?"

"It isn't a problem! I can make sure they both get ready for school and everything."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah! My classes get out before they both get off."

"Ok. This is awesome Theresa. I will let your father know." All I needed to know now is when Logan was getting back to town.
