"Um..." The brunette probably said something to Alyssa.
"Theresa. Don't tell me its true." She said as her eyes began to water.
"Alyssa, you know me better than that. I would never do something to hurt you."
"Then where were you?"
"I was in the locker room with Mitchel." Her surprise squeal led to more water to flood her eyes. "But only because I saw him go in there with some brunette."
"What? Why wouldn't you tell me?"
"I didn't want to accuse him of something unless I knew it was true."
"What did you see?"
"Alyssa." Mitchel's voice from behind me allowed me to avoid her question. "Can we talk?" Without a response she placed her hand on mine and stepped up to walk towards him leaving me siting on the bleachers. The brunette from the locker room was looking at me from the side of the pool. The girls she was surrounded by laughed when I made eye contact with them.
"Don't worry about them." I turned around to find Rachel and Dan standing there. "They are the bitches of the school."
"Oh my gosh! Rachel. Dan. Hi" I leaned in to give her a hug. "What are you guys doing here?"
"Haiden had introduced us to some of the people here. Before he turned into a douche bag." She rolled her eyes and Dan put his arm around her waist.
"I see you two have worked out?" I smile.
"Yeah, we are keeping in touch." She said and smiled up at him. "Is your person here?"
"Oh, no he is actually at basic training right now." If he was even my guy, but he was the only person I was able to think about or the last few weeks.
"A military boy! Hot." She said as she took another sip from her cup. Instead of replying I smiled because she was right on point. "Listen, we are here with some friends, but please hang out with us later."
"I will see what I can do." I smiled back at them.
Before they could respond I felt a hand around my arm and a pull. "Theresa, we are leaving." Alyssa demanded. I caught up to her pace and she dropped my arm.
"Alyssa, what happened?" I questioned cautiously.
"He confessed everything."
"What exactly did he confess?" I asked as we pushed through the large doors to the cold December air.
"He's slept with that girl before. Multiple times." She unlocked her car and we jumped in. She started the car and started to speed away from the campus.
"I'm sorry Alyssa."
"Don't be sorry. I'm sorry for ever doubting you." Her voice was emotionless and full with anger.
"What are you going to do?" I asked as I put my hand on the door handle as she flew between cars on the highway.
"I don't know. He said he didn't want to lose me. How am I ever going to be able to trust him again?" She asked. Unsure how to respond to her question I remained quiet and watched as she continued to drive recklessly. "I love him Theresa." She starts to cry. I make breathing noises to try and help her relax.
"I know. But he shouldn't have done what he did.Why don't you pull over and let me..." Our exit is approaching too quickly andshe isn't slowing down. "Alyssa." I scream as she turns too quickly onto theexit. I feel the side of the car hit the guardrail and come flying backwards. The quick rebound causes my world to drown in black.
