"Thank you kind sir." I smile down at him as he opened the passenger's side door of his truck allowing me to step out. My skin tight red dress came to the middle of my thigh and the devil horns that clipped to my curled blonde hair made wondering eyes take a second look.
"Always my pleasure." Logan smiles back closing the door behind me. He grabs the skin tight white button down shirt in both hands and tugs it down to cover the lower crest of his toned stomach. The batman symbol is obvious through the white. He pulls the door open to the sorority house allowing me to walk through first.
"I cannot believe you convinced me to come to this. Dressed like this." He smiled as wooden door closed behind him.
"Yeah, well James said that he wanted us to meet his new group of friends." I smile back at him.
"We couldn't have done that on any other night?" He says seriously, but lightens up when I look back at him.
"You were just going to sit at home and watch a scary movie. This gives me a chance to see what a normal college student life looks like outside of a community college." I exaggeratedly smile at his defeated eye roll. He looks around the room at the many people holding the red cup in their hands and talking over the music. We walk through the living room and reach the kitchen.
"You guys want a drink?" A guy asks as he shoves two cups into each of our hands. Logan begins to deny, but doesn't have the chance before the guy walks away.
He places the cup down on the counter. "You don't want to take a drink?" I ask.
"I shouldn't take temptations from a woman dressed as the devil." He smiles at me. I smile back at his remarks. "Please feel free to drink if you want."
I awkwardly smile while looking down at the cup in my hand. "I'm not a fan of the idea of drinking anything that I didn't pop open myself." I say as I place the cup on the counter right next to his.
"Aren't you the cautious type?" He smiles back at me as he walks over to the bowl of liquor and grabs two unused cups. He turns to the faucet and puts water into both. "Here." He hands me one of the cups. "If you want to get the whole feel of this 'college life' you should probably accessorize for the part."
"Thanks." I take a drink of the water.
"Is that Theresa and Logan?" I hear from behind. I turn to see James walking towards us. He has gotten larger in muscle and seems to be less awkward then he was in high school. His costume of a firefighter is lazily put together as he wears only a red hat and red overalls with jeans and a white top.
"Hi." I exaggerate as I turn to give him a hug. He returns the welcome and puts his hand on Logan's shoulder.
"How are you guys? I'm glad you made it." Logan silently nods at him. "Ah, I'm happy to see you haven't changed much." James jokes.
"You look great James. What? You've been working out?" I ask.
"Sure have been. I'm hoping to try out for the baseball team next semester." He puts his hand onto my lower back and nudges me into the crowded living room. "Let me introduce you to some of my friends." We walk up to a group of people sitting on the couch. "This is Will, Cody, San, and Luis. Guys these are my friends from Maryland. Theresa and Logan."
