I woke up happy. I knew from what Bradley and James had said about Anna and Logan, that Anna was pretty awful to Logan. Bradley always accused Logan of being whipped, but Logan would always deny. Anna wouldn't always treat Logan with the respect that he deserved. The way he treated her was outstanding for a guy. He was sweet and it was obvious that he was in love with her.

I got up and started my day! I grabbed my uniform and got dropped off at the office building where I would collect, sort, and send mail. It was a pretty simple job. I only had to work one day a week which was helpful because of my school and volleyball schedule. The day went by pretty quickly.

I grabbed my phone and jacket from the breakroom and headed down the stairs to meet my mom who was picking me up since my dad was using the car for work. As I was walking down the stairs I sent a quick text to Logan, Hey, I know the day after a break-up is the worst, but if you need someone to keep you company I am always here to talk or eat too much ice cream with. I placed the phone back into my jacket pocket and got into the passenger's seat. The ride home was pretty quick considering I only lived less than a ten minute drive away. The entire ride my mom talked about her day at school. She works with young children with disabilities at the nearby public schools.

When I got home I reached into my jacket pocket and pulled out my phone. I opened the unread message that said Hey Theresa. Thanks for being there, but we called each other this morning and talked it out. Neither of us wanted to end things so we are going to give it another try. Two sentences and my day had turned from happy and easy going to the feeling of useless and dumb. I hated nothing more than when couples called a quits only to get back together the next day.

I didn't want to be rude or come across like it bothered me, so I sent a simple reply. Oh. That's great to hear. I pressed the send button and grabbed Moose's leash and headed down the drive way. I needed some fresh air. My phone vibrated in my pocket and I knew that I wasn't going to like what I was about to read.

Thanks. I'm not saying that this is a forever thing, but I am not ready to give-up on her yet. My mind was telling me to reply with 'then why didn't you stay in the car and fight for her when you had the chance.' I knew that would ruin any kind of friendship we had going on so I ignored it and just put the phone back into my pocket without replying.
