"Theresa! Rose invited me to her slumber party tomorrow!" Sue said as she ran out of my old school building holding a piece of paper.

"Oh did she?" I smiled down at her.

"Yeah. I get to wear my pajamas and we are going to all sleep on the floor."

"Oh that sounds like fun!" I said as I closed the door. My parents weren't expected to come back into town until Sunday night. It was nice being able to use a car without having to ask permission. "Did she give you more information?" I asked as I sat in the driver's seat waiting for David to come out.

"Yeah. She gave me my invitation." I laughed at her inability to correctly say the world invitation. Before I could respond David jumped into the passenger seat. The car ride home was filled with David and Sue making fun of each other.

I helped Sue with her homework before starting on my own. The night was normal and quiet as I pathetically turned my phone's ringer up before I went to sleep.

Tomorrow was Friday and I would be able to go to work and then come home for a well-deserved weekend. It has been another day since Logan was supposed to come back into town and nothing... I am angry!

I dropped David and Sue at school and went to work. Half way through my day I got a text from David saying that he was going to a bonfire with his class.

I was going to be alone at my house. I spent as much time at the office as I could to make sure that I wouldn't be alone. Once everyone had left for the day I locked the office door and walked to my car. Once I got in I called Alyssa.

"Hey!" She greeted from the other end.

"Hey. So I was wondering if you had any plans for tonight."

"I was going to join Mitchel and his fraternity at their show off tonight. You're more than welcome to join us. It would be best because he'll be off busy with his fraternity presentation. You could keep me company."

"That sounds great!" I didn't want to go, but I knew that I had to keep myself occupied. I hadn't heard from Logan in the three days he has supposedly been back. "Should I just meet you at the campus?"

"Actually it isn't at the campus, but it is in D.C."

"Oh, I can just meet you there."

"I will text you the address. I am getting ready so I will see you tonight. Love you! Bye." She said as she hung up the phone. I turned up the speaker and listened to nothing but the rhythm of the music.
