"There she is!" Mitchel said as he turned around from his group of friends and brought Alyssa into his embrace.

"Hey babe." She said as he stepped back.

"I'm glad you guys decided to come."

"It took a little convincing, but we wouldn't miss it."

"It's good to see you Theresa." He said as he took his eyes off of Alyssa and looked at me. I nodded in response and looked around the crowded pool. College students in bikinis and red solo cups danced around the water while music blared. "Go enjoy yourselves. I will catch up with the two of you later." He gave Alyssa a kiss and we started to walk towards the bleachers.

"You two seem to be doing well." I said as I put my arm around hers.

"Ever since he joined the fraternity he has become a lot busier, but also a lot sweeter." She pulled off her shirt and exposed her bikini. "Lets swim." She smiled at me.

I took off my coat and laid it on top of Alyssa's backpack and pulled the white top over my head. I pulled my jeans over my feet to expose my pale legs. Alyssa jumped into the pool and turned towards where I was standing along the edge waving for me to hurry up. I jumped in and felt the familiar feel of the chlorine water overtaking my body.

Over the hot summer Logan had invited Bradley, James and I over to enjoy the pool. Logan had been the inevitable Marco to the Polo. Unable to escape his lunge, my bare stomach became embraced by his large arms. He held me while his eyes opened to meet mine. The stare was long and unbroken until Alyssa and Mitchel entered the backyard. He released his grasp and pulled away.

"Theresa!" Alyssa woke me from my day dream. I looked in her direction to only see her flinging water into my face. With an exaggerated face I returned the splash. Our laughing was barely noticeable over the speakers. I looked up behind her to see Mitchel holding the hands of some brunet and leading her into the locker room. My smile went straight to surprise. Alyssa noticed my hastily change in expression and looked to where I was staring. However, Mitchel had disappeared into the room. "What's wrong?"

This had to be a decision I had to make for the sake of us both. Should I tell my best friend that I just saw her boyfriend walk into the locker room with another girl or keep quiet and have it play out for itself? "Nothing. I just need to use the bathroom real quick. I will be right back." She smiled and I used the ladder to climb out of the crowded pool. Alyssa was distracted by some people I was guessing were her friends.

I walked to the locker room door Mitchel hadentered only seconds earlier and glance back at the pool to make sure that Alyssawas still occupied. I pushed the door open and started to walk into the locker roompraying that the girl was only dying and Mitchel wanted to give her first aid.
