"These last few days have been a lot of fun." I said as I gave Rachel a hug before turning to Sara and giving her one as well.

"Please do not be a stranger Theresa." Rachel requested.

"You have my number. We will definitely have to hangout under better circumstances." I laughed as I picked my bag up from the floor. "Dan, thanks for not making us use our fighting skills on you. I hope to see you here during the summer." Everyone laughed and smiled one last time before I walked out the door and to the car.

I used my arm to wipe the snow off the windshield before jumping in and starting the engine. Each side of the road was lined with tall mounds of dirty snow. The roads were mushy, but drivable. I started the slow long drive home.

I turned the music up louder to drain out the wondering thoughts that always seemed to lead back to Logan. His final words before he had left were on a constant replay in my mind.

Singing along to the words worked for an hour until I reached a road that was barely touched by a snow blow. The road was covered in ice and a small layer of snow. I slowed down and concentrated on the empty road.

The slow speed did not help from sliding every once in a while. I pushed the gas down harder to help get my car unstuck from a mound of snow. The car accelerated out of the snow only to speed towards the large wall of snow on the side of the road. I turned the wheel sharply to avoid hitting the large wall and pushed down on the brakes.

Letting out a scream the car slid straight into the untouched snow on the other side of the road. My heavy breathing made me realize that I was going to have the worst experience trying to get home safely. I knew I couldn't stay here.

I put the car in reverse and applied the gas slowly. The car hesitated, but eventually pulled out of the deep snow. Continuing down the road I turned around a curve in the highway to see a car sitting in the snow.

I drove by slowly trying to not hit the back of the car sticking out on the path. As I passed by I saw a person sitting inside. With the highway abandoned, I avoided my conscious and parked my car in the middle of the road and walked over to the driver's side window to see a thirty something woman sitting there on her phone unaware of my presence. I knocked on the window startling her as she put her hand over her chest. She opened the door and stepped out.

"Sorry, you startled me." She laughed with a huge smile.

"No, it's my fault. I just wanted to stop and make sure that you were ok."

"Yeah, I'm fine, but my car ran into this bank of snow because of the ice and I can't get it out." She said as she pointed to the front of the car. "I was trying to find a number for a tow truck when you came up."

"Oh, well, before you try calling can I see if I could help?"

"Yeah please do."

I walked to the front of the car and started to dig some snow out from where the front bumper was covered. Pulling the last of the snow out of the bottom of the car, "Go ahead and try backing out now."

She jumped in and turned the car on and put it in reverse. I could hear the engine struggle. I pushed on the front of the car hoping to aid in its process.

Her car pulled out back onto the dugout path. She rolled down her window and I walked over. "You are the greatest! Listen, I am a doctor at the hospital in Annapolis. Please take my card and call me if you ever need anything!"

I took the card from her hand. "Thank you so much. I am a pre-med student."

"That's perfect then! I could really use someone like you on my team. Thanks again for your help." I smiled back at her and walked to my car. I jumped in and started to drive away slowly. She slowly followed behind me before taking an exit.

I couldn't stop smiling at what had just unfolded. I had the opportunity to work in a hospital alongside real doctors. That would look great on a college resume. After three hours of driving I pulled into my driveway exhausted.
