I really crossed a line this time. I spent the entire night alone with Logan. Not even that long ago did I tell myself I wasn't going to cause problems with their relationship. Yet here I am sleeping with my head on his chest and waking up to watch the sunset. What the hell? I cannot let myself think about it. I won't bring it up with Anna. She would probably kill me. It isn't like we did anything. We were two friend hanging out after a long stressful day.

After a deep breath I walk into the kitchen to see what breakfast my mom was talking about. I grab a piece of bacon from the plate and walk into the living room where I turn on the TV to watch an episode of Grey's Anatomy. As the opening credits begin my mind starts to wonder to every little detail. Each time I have to stop myself and refocus on the TV.

I keep replaying the way his body felt as he pulled me closer towards him. The way his brown eyes seem to always find their way back to mine. I don't remember him asking me if I wanted to leave. I remember looking out over the city as I came closer and closer to closing my eyes, but would always make myself reopen them wider each time. I remember being half awake when he jumped down and grabbed the blanket from the back seat of his truck. I also remember him climbing back in and placing the blanket over my body as I moved to lay more horizontal along the bed of the truck. After that I remember nothing. I keep thinking about how peaceful it was to sleep next to someone. I would spend the night at Luis' house all the time and sleep next to him, but it was different with Logan. It was more peaceful.

I call Alyssa to keep my mind from wondering back to the night. "Hey, chica. What's up?" I begin.

"So tell me what happened last night! Anna told me that there was some fight. You didn't fight someone did you?"

"Do you honestly think I would fight someone?"

"Yes." She said completely serious. "Ok, tell me everything."

"I was surprised at how well James acted. I sound like his mom, but for being childish most the time he really was an honest gentleman."

"Who won prom court?" It took me a minute to realize what she was talking about.

"Oh, I guess we never got to do it."

"So what happened? What was the fight over?"

"I am not entirely sure. One minute I am dancing and the next I am being pushed over and heading face first towards the floor. A sophomore and some guy who doesn't go to the school started to throw punches. I am pretty sure it was over a girl."

"Yeah. It most definitely was over a girl. So what did you do after that?"

I was not entirely sure what Anna had told her and I know she wasn't going to find out about what happened last night from me. "We ended up at the hospital."

"We? We who?" Of course she would ask that.

"James broke two of his fingers when he punched the guy." That wasn't a complete lie.

"Woah, woah. James was in on this fight?"

"I thought Anna told you about this fight?"

"She just told me that two people started fist fighting. I don't know anything else."

"Oh, well the two younger classmen got into a fist fight and one fell back hitting me and pushing me over. Logan jumped in and stopped the guy from going after the sophomore on the ground again. Bradley stopped the one kids form standing back up. The guy standing was angry. I mean pissed and was still trying to get to the guy. He punched Logan in the jaw and before Logan could do anything about it James got up and punched the guy in the face and the guy fell to the ground." I took a deep breath after my explanation.

"Damn. That is insane. I am really proud of James though. I would have never thought that he would do something like that."

"You and me both."

"What did Principal Kathy say about all of this? She has a strict no fighting policy."

"Luckily both Logan and James got out of the way before she made it over to the fighting area. Listen Alyssa, you can't tell anyone that James and Logan were involved in the fight because they could be refused graduation if she ever finds out."

"I wasn't going to tell anyone. I'm not going to go tattle on two people who were just trying to help."

"Ok. Even if they were just trying to help I feel like Principal Kathy wouldn't see it that way and take away their graduation opportunity."

"I don't put it past her. Listen, I just got home so I will text you later."

"Sounds good." We both hang up the phone. I am glad that the conversation ended where it did because we were running out of things to talk about that actually happened at the mansion. I don't know what I would have said about last night if it came up.

I spent the rest of the morning watching Grey's Anatomy and the occasional social media check. Around noon I started to get bored of just sitting there so I grabbed Moose's leash and clipped it on his collar. The nice temperature of May allowed for a great escape from being inside for too long. I unclipped Moose's leash and closed the gate to the dog park and sat with my book at the picnic table. Moose ran around the lonely dog park sniffing everything that he could. We stayed at the park for at least an hour and then started our way home. We arrived back to find my parents starting to unload a car full of groceries.

The afternoon went by pretty quick. It was filled with studying for finals that we were going to be starting at the end of the upcoming week. After this week the seniors had to report to school only to practice their farewell performance. It was the final grade a student could earn. The entire senior class had to construct an hour long play that revisited the greatest, funniest, and worst moments of our senior year.
