"Are you sure you don't want me to tag along?"

"Yeah. You have class and there is no need to miss it. I am only going down for the day and will be back tomorrow morning."

"Ok. Well at least call me when you get there." Alyssa said as she stood by the trunk where I was stuffing my gym bag.

"Of course. This is going to be quick and then I can put this all behind me."

"Ok." She gave me a hug and I got into the car and started to leave the neighborhood. My mind wondered to Logan and thought about what he was doing at basic. What if he were to come back and not have the same feelings he had when he left.

What if he met someone there who shared a lot more in common with him and made him more comfortable then I ever could.

There was one thing for certain. I could only think of him and no one else. My classes were ending in the next few weeks and I needed to focus on them.

I began to grow hesitant about the trip when snow started to fall from the clouded sky. It wasn't bad until I reached the city limits. The snow began to fall harder the closer to the ocean I drove. I pulled up in front of the police station and ran inside to escape the falling snow.
