The music blaring was loud and could probably be heard from outside of the car. The drive home was too short. As I turned to pull my car into the driveway a sweet reminder of the memories shared in the large black truck flooded my thoughts.

The lifted truck was pulled all the way to the top of the dirt driveway. I had expected not to see him anytime soon, or ever at this point. I pulled the car right up beside the truck and took a deep breath before stepping out. Mixed emotions of anger and want flushed through me.

I walked around the large truck to find it empty as if waiting for him was some sort of torture he enjoyed inflicting on me. "Theresa." The familiar deep voice that I had only replayed in my head a thousand times stung as it flooded my ears. His voice made me forget why I was ever mad.

I turned around to find Logan standing up from the brick steps. "Logan." I said more as a relief than a greeting. His once edged body was larger now. His longer brown hair was cut to his head. His once scruffy chin was now shaved and smooth. His newly formed muscles pressed against the tight Army sweatshirt he was wearing. When I said his name the same smile of relief came over him.

I wanted to embrace him, but after the last few days, I was more confused than certain. My phone vibrated in my hand causing me to look down. Alyssa had sent me the address to the performance, but that wasn't what I wanted to see tonight.
