{Robyn}

I woke up early to the sound of the radio playing in the kitchen. Looking over at the bedroom door I was thankful that I had locked it after hearing Zak last night in his car.

It tore me apart hearing him but I knew it was for the best.

I unlocked the door and stepped out looking up and down the hall before walking around cautiously, Joe must have been here early this morning.

Seeing the front door open and the sun flooding in I made my way to it when I stopped the broad shoulders hunched over.

"Damn the fucking hell with it. Stupid fucking pansy. I'll tear your damn colourful head off." I heard Zak cussing.

I covered my mouth with my hand holding back my giggle.

"There... You beautiful bastard. No why are you falli- Joe! He's taking the piss."

"Dude.. What the hell did you do to it?" Joe spoke joining him.

"I ain't no gardener. I pay people for that shit."

"The flower head."

"It was already broke.."

A giggle fell from my mouth causing both men to turn and look over at me.

"Mornin- no afternoon.. You slept well last night." Joe smiled.

I smiled and looked at Zak who's hair was every direction and had mud across his face. Stepping out I sat on the seat looking at the trays of flowers they had on the ground.

"How's it going?" I asked.

"He's broke at least 4." Joe laughed picking up a tray and heading across the garden.

"How many have you planted?" I asked Zak.

"4." He muttered making me grin.

"4 in the last hour." Joe added.

"Shut up man. I don't play with flowers unlike you." Zak fired before looking at me sheepishly.

"I'll buy more." He mumbled.

"Zak why are you here?" I asked as he approached the porch.

"I tried. The state line? I tried, but..."

"But?"

"But I couldn't do it. You're stronger than me, that's evidently clear but I want to show you.. That I want in. So if it means planting flowers, fixing fences and painting with a tiny brush I'll do it. I want this Robyn, I've never been more sure of anything."

I swallowed the thickening lump and looked at Joe.

"5,4,3,-"

I bolted from the seat and towards the bathroom to empty my stomach.

I eventually made reappearance to Joe and Zak waiting for me in the garden.
"Sorry.."

Zak shook his head and smiled "I've got something for you."

He pulled out a small plastic box and opened them up with a proud smile. "I made you ginger biscuits. They help.. With the morning sickness." He explained.
