{Zak}

I woke the next morning to an empty side of the bed. Lifting my head from the pillow I waited for any sound of noise but when silence hit me, the reality of yesterday came back.

I laid there for a while, imagining what if, what could have been..

Would it have been a boy or girl?

Would they have looked like Robyn?

She would be a great mom.. But would I have been a good dad?

Could I have been the father I never had?

I shut my mind off quickly and pulled back the bedding to get out and find her. Stepping into the hallway, the silence continued. I tried the kitchen first and found her over the sink scrubbing hard.

"Hey." I spoke stepping in. With no answer I figured she had gone silent on me again.

"Did you get sleep?" I asked.

Still she kept scrubbing hard, looking around the kitchen at how clean everything was I began to wonder what she was cleaning as she grabbed bleach and poured it in before shoving it back and went back to scrubbing.

"What are you cleaning?" I asked walking over to give her a break when I saw redness.

"ROBYN STOP!" I demanded turning off the hot water instantly as I grabbed her wrist and turned on the cold tap.

"No.. No! No it's not clean! It's not clean!" She cried trying to pull my hand off hers.

"They are! Stop! Keep your hand under the tap!" I ordered.

"It's not clean!" She shouted back.

I shoved my body behind hers and pinned her to the sink whilst holding her hand under the water.

"It's not clean.. It's not clean." She shook.

"Sweetie, they are. They are look, they are the same as mine. What the hell are you playing at? Bleach burns your skin." I spoke in her ear.

"Blood is on my hands. Isn't it?"

"Then where is it on mine?" I asked her.

"I don't understand. I don't understand." She shook her head.

"Did you even sleep last night?" I asked craning my neck to see her. Judging from the bloodshot eyes, she hadn't.

"Have you taken those antibiotics or painkillers?" I questioned.

Looking at the boxes to find them unopened. The doctor said she would have bad cramping for a day or two as well as bleeding.

"It's not suppose to be like this.." She whispered.

"I know."

"You.. You need to leave now." She said causing my mind to snap instantly.

"What?"

"There is no reason for you to stay anymore. There is no baby, no family, no nothing. You can go back to Vegas now."

I shook my head vehemently "I'm not leaving unless you're in my passenger seat. I'm not going back without you."

She shook her head trying to pull her hand from mine as I prayed she wouldn't have any chemical burn. "Let me go Zak. Please let me go."

"No. No you're gonna get a grip. Okay? I know you hurt. I hurt too but you think this is how it's going to work? You stay here alone and harm yourself. I don't fucking think so! You're gonna come back to Vegas with me, we are going to work at this, at us and when the time is right we are going to try again, if that's what you want or we are going to buy a house and empty the animal fucking shelter and share our love like that. You hear?!"
