Poetic Justice

Beauty seen in a flawed world

I find it amazing,
I find it odd, in it's splendid rare Beauty.
I find it different, but a beautiful
Different.
Like the difference from daylight,
To moonlight.
Something great, turned into
Something even better.

How can her eyes be filled with so
Much curiosity,
So much light,
In a world full of so much darkness?

Some will say that she is dreaming,
Wishing for something never to come, That she is lying to herself,
That she is only being ignorant,
But I see the brightness behind her
Eyes,
As something much more,
I see her for what she is,
For who she is.

I see a river of words behind her eyes, Something stretching so deep beneath It's surface,
So clear in it's unclarity.
I see a fountain of dreams, as it
Sprouts, in a delicate effort,
To touch every soul that is hurt,
In need of it's profound healing Properties.

But I wonder how her tongue stays
So sweet and tamed,
In a world full of bitter, in a world
Full of wild.
How do the words that escape her Lips,
Hold so much thought,
So deeper than the surface.

Makes us feel,
When all our life,
Feeling has been immune to us,
When it had been told to be a Weakness,
She makes it seem,
Like a heaven, on this mind-numbing
Earth.

She makes my heart open,
To the soft sounds,
Sounds that had never existed to me
Before.
She opens my eyes,
To a beauty,
A beauty that I had never even
Noticed before.

I find splendour in her great
Ridiculousness,
As some might call it.
How her tears can heal a faltering
Heart,
How her fragility can make a strong
Warrior, of a weak person.

How can she have so much life,
How does she just know that it's going
To be alright,
When all my life I've been told,
Exactly the opposite.

But clearly she knows what she
Speaks of,
For some reason I cling onto her
Words,
I hold onto her hope,
More so than I do to this world.

Because I know,
I need no reassurance,
That someone who can see so much
Beauty in a flawed world,
Deserves to be listened to.
