Take me away

You speak such greatness of this place,
This place I can listen to,
For hours on end.
You say the flowers never die,
Because the sun and joy never fades away.

I stare up at my ceiling,
Even after you've left,
These thoughts wiltering in my head,
Of this beautiful place,
That's image is imprinted in my mind.

You say the trees bear fruit,
Fruit that ignites fire in your soul,
But the good kind of fire.
The kind that  burns to keep you warm,
To light up your road to darkness.

You say the grass is a spectacular green,
As it wilts between your toes,
You feel nature bearing it's soul to you,
Before your very feet.

You say the oceans bow down before you,
That's a sight that can't be missed,
As the mountain of blue,
Stretches out to you,
Welcoming you into it's array,
Of infinity.

Take me away,
I plead with you one day,
I need to feel this,
I need to see this,
With my very own eyes.

Take me away,
By your side,
So this perfection that you speak of,
Can finally be a desired taste
On my bitter tongue
So this joy that sparkles in your eyes,
Would spread to my eyes too.

But you wrote me a letter,
As to why you couldn't take me away
And the words that you wrote,
Remain still inkprints on my heart;
"I can't take you away,
Because you are already there,
You took all the sweetness of this world
And covered it with bitterness.
You took the beauty
And turned it into ugliness,
You took the calm
And turned it into chaos.
How can I take you away,
As you plead with me,
To a world you have already destroyed?"
