What if?

What if there was finally a meaning,
To it all?
An end to what supposedly is,
And endless war?
What if we finally found our Beginning?
A beginning we never
Had to start off with?

What if words are no longer just,
Empty feelings,
That couldn't be put into action?
What if they weren't just,
And escape from our reality?

What if instead,
They were the reason for the peace,
Surrounding us?
What if they filled our space,
With all we wanted,
And perhaps even more?

What if feelings weren't deisregarded
And emotions not reprimanded?
What if voices were listened to,
And tears were wiped,
Instead of laughed at?

What if you were to dream of light,
Rather than scream at night?
What if the feeble space,
Between love and hate,
Had no reason to be,
Because hate no longer existed?

Tears are no longer shed,
Because what's unwanted,
Doesn't belong.
Fears are tossed aside,
Because it's silly to be afraid,
Of nothing at all.

The light in our eyes we're restored,
And the hope in our heart regained?
Would it not be ideal,
To live in a world,
Where there are no wrongs,
Because only the rights exist?

But it's as silly as saying,
What if water,
Never gave us life,
As silly as saying,
What if blood,
Never flowed through our veins.

What if?
Mindless excuses,
To wish rather than do,
To dream rather than be.
A tactic only discovered,
By the lazy ones,
Who care not of their future.
So states the real world,
The one we form apart,
All what iffs,
Tossed aside.
