Roses are red, voilets are blue,
This isn't just another love poem,
This a poem for my mother's special day,
This is a love poem,
For my mom.

You've always been there for me mom,
Through the raging seas,
And blinding lights,
That one would call the obstacles of my life
You've been a guiding hand,
To pick me up when I fall,
And lift me up when I wanted to touch the
Sky.

You've always been that shimmering light,
In a room of complete darkness.
You've taught me about life,
About all of it's ups and Downs,
And when it gets to hard for me,
It's not the ground I fall upon,
No because it's your arms that catch me
Again.

Today is your birthday,
A very special day indeed.
I think it may be the best day of my life,
Because without the 20th of August,
Being your special day,
Life would be unknown to me,
Because I would be as dead as the wind
In summer.
I would be as gone,
As the stars in the day.
And truthfully,
The 20th of August,
Is a very special day,
Because its the day you we're born.

Happy Birthday mom,
May we stay strong,
Live on,
And for every birthday,
May I be there to kiss you on your cheek,
Hug you,
And tell you,
"I love you the mostest, and happy birthday mom."
Because it surely is a very happy day,
As it has the honour,
Of being called yours.

(A/n: it was my mother's birthday on Sunday, and I just wrote this poem to celebrate her birthday... Firstly because it comes straight from the heart, and secondly because I had no money to buy her a real present lol...
Xoxo
