There was once a man,
Who would walk around the city,
Eyes always cast towards the sun.
He would smile,
When the clouds gathered away,
And unveiled the glory of the light.
No one knew why,
No one would ever believe,
What he had sacrificed for them,
What his love had done for them.
Because many years ago,
His house was on a quiet and dainty street,
But his home was in the very heart,
Of his beloved wife Sonnita.
All was well in their lives,
Sonnita lit up his life with light,
Light no one had ever come across,
For their entire lives.
Sonnita was always smiling,
Emitting an aura that never died away.
Everything outside was dark,
But the old man was satisfied,
As long as he had Sonnita at his side,
He knew that his days would never fade
Like the bleak sky did.
One day Sonnita's eyes were even brighter, And she told the old man that she had an
Idea.
An idea,
That would bring light to the darkness in The world.
That would give hope to a hopeless land.
She told him that she would offer herself,
She would make a deal with the moon,
She would bring her light in the day,
For all the world to see,
But fall back into the old man's arms,
At night.
The old man refused at first,
He couldn't picture spending a day
Without her,
Not walking in the park,
Not seeing the flowers bloom,
But she smiled,
And told him something,
That made her aura perhaps even more
Appealing.
He knew he loved her,
And soon the world would too,
He just had a feeling.
She told him,
That the same light he garnishes,
Is the same light,
She wishes would guide the world.
That the people needed her,
More than he did.
"And when all goes to sleep my love,
When at night, all is dark,
That is when I'll come to you,
So at day you'll always see me brightly in The sky,
But at night,
I'll be your light in a world of darkness."
She said,
And the old man couldn't say no.
Now,
When the old man looks up at the sky,
His eyes never falters away from the sun,
He watches her with such greatness,
Such bliss appears on his lips,
Because he knows,
That it was true,
With her as his sun,
He would never see a dark day again.
Sometimes I still see the old man,
Winking at the sun,
Their little secret to keep,
But sometimes when I look hard enough,
I could swear,
That the sun was winking back at him.

(A/n: I wrote this at like 3a.m, so this really isn't one of my best poems at all lol. I guess I just miss the sun coz it's dark out. And I say that with all seriousness, coz I love the sun. I hope you guys are able to sleep with the sunless sky hanging overhead you.
What did you guys think of my poor attempt of a weird love story between a man and a solid entity? (That sounds insane I know lol)
Thanks for still reading this book,
You won't believe how much it means to me that you are still here and haven't given up on me.
Xoxo
