To My Friends

We've come a long road,
Picture perfect destinations,
Are in our minds.
We dream,
And tell our stories to the stars.
We clink away our tears,
With plastic glasses.

We run around,
In one another's rainbows,
Chasing the promised pot of gold.
But we also dance,
Aimlessly amongst the teardrops,
And the rage of the skies.

We're there to light up,
A room of complete darkness,
We're the voices,
In a room of complete solitude.

We cause mayhem,
We laugh all the time,
And say "ahem".

I wish that life would stay as simple,
As sweet as honeysuckle,
Much as the days we stick together.

I say stick together,
Because we curse and we laugh,
We fall and we stumble,
We yawn and we yearn,
But a love like ours,
Can never be separated.

We are streams,
We are waterfalls,
We are rivers and oceans,
When one is empty,
The others give off,
Some of their glistening waters.

Our hands fly to the sky in unison,
Because in life we know what we want,
And we won't settle,
For anything less.

So to my dear friends,
May we live long,
And may the glue that holds us together,
Never seperate us.

(A/n: this is just a corny poem to my friends. I love you guys!
Xoxo,
Nikita)
