Poetic Justice

Like the pages of a book

Do you feel the story,
Burning beneath your cool skin?
Do you feel the wisdom,
Aching to leave your sealed lips?
Do you feel the hope,
Hidden behind your scornful eyes?

Each footstep you take,
Leads you towards your faraway Legacy.
Much like each page you turn,
Takes you to an unexpected
Reality.

As you cry, wishing for something,
Something you don't even know of,
So do the pages, as they exist only to
Inspire.

Much like without a reader, a book is
Useless,
So, without a friend, a human feels
Worthless.
Every word that lands on your heart,
Is much like the smiles you've made
Appear, on strangers faces.

Your need to make people happy,
Is the sole purpose your book lives For.
Your broken heart,
Is what the pages of your book tries to
Mend back together.

When the world leaves your side,
Your book stays wide open, to take
You on a mystical ride.
When you are forsaken,
The pages are the only ones who do
Not forsake you.

Do you not see it?
We are all walking books,
We all need someone to turn our Pages, otherwise we will feel useless.
We all have a story to tell,
A story that has no use,
If there is no one to listen to it.

We all have a burning desire,
To make people inspired.
We all want someone who cares
Enough, not to only read the words,
But someone to understand them.

We want to wipe tears,
In order for our tears to be wiped.
Every time we blink,
It's a new word, added to our
Lifetime story.

Do you see it now?
That we are all living books,
That like the pages of a book,
We want to not only be seen,
But understood.

There is only one sincere difference,
We cannot make our own world,
We are born into one,
One we have to allign ourselves to.

Like the pages of a book,
We all wish we could create our own
World.
