Stop!

I tell the trees,
To stop giving into the breeze of the winds.
I tell the flowers,
To stop trying when trampled under shoes.
I tell the sun,
To stop leaving the night sky,
When the light is all it needs.

But its not that simple,
I can shout and screech my lungs out,
I can tell the world to stop,
It'd only stare for a second,
Then continue.

I see the way he looks at her,
Stop being afraid,
Of those hurricanes and storms churning
In your soul! I shout at him.
Tell her how much you care,
For who else needs to care?

I see her glassy eyes,
Then she quickly tries to hide behind a Smilev
When they joke about her weight,
Stop hiding those tears, I say,
That's what's the cause of her broken
State.

I see her hiding behind a new book,
Every day,
She reads the love stories,
She wishes she felt them,
Stop hiding behind the beauty,
Is all I want to tell her,
And be the beauty for once.

I see his long sleeves,
He pulls it up to his thumbs,
Thinking I hadn't seen those scratch marks.
Stop hiding behind those tiresome
Sweaters,
Those scars,
Are things you should be proud of,
They show you've fought in brave wars,
Got hurt and stumbled,
But came out alive.

Stop colouring your yellow petals red,
Because you wish you were a rose.
Stop carving your heart,
Because you wish yours were whole.
Stop smiling,
Because you wish to receive their joy.

Just stop doing it for them,
Your breath is to keep you alive,
If you withold it to match their heaving
Chests,
You'll be the one to suffocate, not them.
Your tears are to set you free,
If you withold it to try to smile like they
Tell you too,
You'll be the one to drown on the inside,
Not them.

Stop being them,
When you were meant to be you.
Don't be like the trees,
Be like the wind.
Don't be like the sky,
Be like stars.
Don't be like the liars,
Be you.

Stop, but for only a second,
Then start,
Not in their race,
But in yours...

Stop,
Before you're reeled in too deep.
Stop,
Before you become like the ones,
That I'm warning you about

(A/n: I actually really like this poem a lot!!!  It's so firm and and confrontational. What did you guys think about it tho?
