She told me

She spoke to me yesterday,
She told me how perfect you are,
Your eyes are always bright,
Even at night.
Your laughter is a song,
That can entertain even the most scornful
Of audiences.

She told me about your hair,
How the sun was delighted,
To reflect it's perfect strands.
She told me about your smile,
Not just a perfect touch to your lips,
But one that starts at your eyes.

She told me about you,
Every single detail,
Of how she longed for you to look at her,
Just so she could see your eyes again.
She told me she wishes she spoke to you,
Just so your voice would fill up,
The empty space around her.

But I knew this already,
You and your perfection,
Which would turn out to be the death of me
It was silly,
As I sat opposite your guardian angel,
Listening to her tell me,
How perfect you are,
Even in an angel's eyes.
