Amount of times hinges is said (including title and description): 9

Honestly that's too many for the amount of phrasing, specially since this is such a short one.

I walked through the apartment in my pajamas hoping to find Bucky but to no avail. He must have left long before I got up because even being have awake and half asleep I didn't feel his body heat next to me like usual. I circled the whole apartment checking every room and finding them open and bucky-less. Both things were sort of odd though. I normally woke to Bucky In at least one room with the door open, but this past week he had left all of the doors propped open. I didn't think much of, maybe he just forgot, or wanted more airflow through our small home.

I waded into the kitchen to grab a couple granola bars and a water bottle before retreating back to our shared bedroom. After I set the breakfast on the bed with my book I went to close the bedroom door. As soon as I went to swing it closed it fell straight in front of me earning a small scream from me. The next thing I knew the front door slammed and a panting Bucky was stood in front of me. The only thing separating us was the fallen door.

"Is everything okay? I heard you scream from down the hall."

I held my hand on my chest as I caught my breath from the scare.

"Yeah everythings okay, except for our broken door."

We both looked down at it and he sighed. He bent down, picked it up, and propped it against the wall again.

"There good as new."

I raised my eyebrows at him.

"Good as new?!"

He just looked at me.

"What?"

"Bucky our door is off it's hinges!"

He looked from it to me and shrugged.

"So?"

"So, we need to fix it. I would have bought new hinges at the hardware store last week but it didn't even seem loose."

"Um.....uh....that's because it wasn't.....loose."

I screwed my eyebrows together.

"What do you mean?"

He clenched his left hand a few times before looking at me sheepishly.

"It might have been me."

"What?"

"It might have been me."

"What so you mean it might have been you?"

He grabbed my hand and led me to his work out room and showed me the door off it's hinges.

"Uh, I accidentally pulled all of the doors in the apartment off their hinges. It just started as a coincidence thing with this door, and since you never really come in here I was hoping you wouldn't notice. But then it happened with the spare bedroom, and then our...."

I smacked my hand on my forehead and laughed a little.

"Your not mad?"

"Oh I'm mad, but not because you ripped the doors off the hinges."

He looked at me questioningly.

"I'm mad that you didn't tell me, you just tried to cover up the problem. And now we have to put new hinges through the house."

He just laugh/sighed to himself.

"I guess I get to fix the problem now."

"Right you are sir, but I guess I could help a little."

He stepped closer to me and kissed the top of my head.

"Thank you y/n."

"I guess I better go get dressed, we have a field trip to go on."

I sauntered back into our bedroom and got ready to go. This would turn out to be more of an exciting day than I had expected.
