I sat in bed with my blanket wrapped tightly around my body, groaning again as I barely shifted my weight over. My whole body hurt and I was tired of getting up to go to the bathroom. As a matter of fact I was just tired in general. I leaned back in hopes to fall back asleep when it hit me again. I threw my blanket off and ran to the bathroom, spilling my guts into the toilet. I breathed heavily as tears stung my eyes. I just wanted to go back to bed. Then there was a knock on the bathroom door. I spit into the bowl.

"Yeah?"

I croaked out.

"Y/n, Ted's here."

I drew my brows together and flushed the toilet. Why was Ted here? I stood up and opened the door, my mother standing there by herself.

"He's in the living room. He brought you lunch."

I raised a brow as I prepped my tooth brush and shoved it in my mouth for what felt like the hundredth time. She sent me a look.

"I know you don't feel good but he brought you soup. Hopefully that will stay down and keep you hydrated."

She kissed my sweaty forehead.

"Now, I've got to go to work. make sure you eat, and drink that Gatorade I bought you. It'll make you feel better."

She brushed my hair out of my face before I leaned down and spit into the sink.

"Okay Mom, I'll see you later."

I followed her out into the living room and saw Ted sitting uncomfortably on the couch. He had only been over a handful of times when my mom had actually been home and still wasn't quiet sure how to act around her. She held the door open.

"Ted, make sure my baby stays safe today."

She then looked at me and pointed.

"No hospital visits either, stay hydrated."

I nodded.

"Okay Mom, I'll see you later."

She nodded before closing the door behind her. I sighed and looked at Ted.

"You look rough."

He said and I sent him a look.

"Thanks, you look great too."

He laughed a little bit.

"That's not what I meant. You're still beautiful, but this is really hitting you isn't it?"

I nodded and walked to him as he stood up. He hugged me tightly to him and rubbed my back.

"I'm so tired of being tired."

I shoved my face into his chest and tried to breathe deeply.

"I brought you soup. It's your favorite, from that little shop on main Street."

I looked up at him and smiled.

"You remembered?"

He smiled widely at me.

"Of course I did babe, you mean a lot to me, why would I forget?"

I leaned forward and kissed his chest.

"I love you Ted."

He ran his hand over my back a few times before kissing the top of my head.

"I love you too y/n."
