"For the last time I didn't take your stupid guitar strap!"

I stomped my foot.

"Yes you did! I know you did!"

"Ricky for Christ's sake why would I do that?!"

"I don't know!"

I rolled my eyes and went to walk away from him.

"Well when you figure it out come find me, I've got an actual job to do."

He jogged to catch up with me and grabbed my hand.

"Hey! You two!"

We both looked at a tall man running towards us and froze.

"I need you to hold this."

Ricky was still holding tightly to my wrist and we watched as the man reached into his back pocket. We stepped back as he held up a pair of handcuffs.

"What?"

I asked and he sent us a wicked smile. Then he slammed one cuff into each of our wrists, locking them tightly.

"Hey!"

We both said at the same time, holding our hands in the air trying to pull away from each other.

"I heard you two were bickering, have fun getting along today."

He said before turning and walking away. Ricky and I just looked at each other.

"Wait a minute!"

I shouted and started after him, pulling Ricky with me, him stumbling over his feet.

"Sorry, you two just have to live with it."

He started walking faster and so did I. Then he turned a corner.

"Will you slow down?"

"No Richard I want this off."

I turned the corner too and he was no where to be found. Ricky stood next to me and looked around as well.

"He's gone."

Ricky said, squinting at the sunlight peaking through the trees.

"How the hell could he be gone?!"

I said looking around again. Ricky scratched his head.

"How the hell should I know?"

I went to walk away but stopped when Ricky didn't come with me and I groaned. I sighed before lifting my hand back up.

"Shouldn't there be some sort of clicky thing in the side that unlocks these?"

I held our hands in front of my face and inspected the locking mechanism but it wasn't there like on those stupid play handcuffs.

"Well what are we gonna do now?"

I tapped my foot for a second at his question.

"I guess you'll just have to come with me to run lights."

I turned to walk back in the direction of the stage but he didn't budge.

"I can't do that! I've got to practice!"

"Ricky if I don't run lights your show will be played in the dark."

He tried to cross his arms over his chest and pulled me closer to him and I breathed deeply. He really was trying my patience.
