backstory for this prompt (which appears in part two), you can go there if you want the stand alone one shot: Connor starts talking to plus size!reader and they start getting comfortable with each other. Shortly after they start hanging out for real, they are at school and all the seats are taken in the cafeteria so reader has him sit on her lap. He's super flabbergasted and doesn't really know how to respond and then she just like pulls him to her but he still won't sit down. She's just sitting there holding his waist and looking up at him. then he finally gives in cause he's hungry and wants to eat so he sits down in readers lap. he feels super awkward but it's fine cause he's with someone who actually likes him and he can eat and be semi-comfortable. And then he finishes eating and throws his stuff away and comes back and he's just like "well why don't you sit on my lap instead?" And she just let's out this loud fucking wheeze cause she'd crush his small tree body and shakes her head no before patting her lap. He Huff's and sits down anyways and just looks at her the whole time, cause wow this is cool, maybe friends are actually nice to have. (some things have changed but it still pretty much follows this)

"Why don't you watch where you're going."

I whipped around as fast as humanly possible.

"Excuse you?"

He stopped and turned to look at me with a small fire in his eyes.

"Why don't you fucking watch where your going."

I crossed my arms over my chest. This skinny ass kid was not gonna talk to me like that.

"Okay, I was gonna apologize but now I don't think you deserve it."

"Why? You think apologizing would've excused the fact that you just pushed your whole fucking body into me?"

I waved a finger at him.

"First of all, if I would've pushed my whole body into you'd be on the fucking ground so be glad youre not. And second of all what the fuck is your problem?"

He looked furious and stepped forward to push or hit me, but he didn't. He just shoved his finger in my face.

"Look, today I'm not really looking for a fight, lucky for you, so if you just back the fuck off that'd be great."

His body was a few inches from mine so I just grabbed his shoulders and slammed him into the lockers that where next to us.

"If you think you're gonna talk to me like that you've got another thing coming."

He looked around at the few gathered people around us. I could almost hear them whispering as I fumed at the tall boy in front of me

"I could snap you in half like nobody's business and wouldn't even think twice."

"Ms y/l/n."

I sighed and looked back at the teacher behind me. She was tapping her foot on the ground and had her arms crossed over her chest. I let go of Connor and turned to look at her.

"Can I help you Mrs Monty?"

"Go to the office."

I shrugged innocently.

"Why? What's the problem?"

I sounded as if I hadn't been rustling up the Murphy kid and had no idea what she was talking about.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about,"

She looked past me.

"both of you to the office. Now."

I rolled my eyes and stepped past her.

The vice principal decided it would be best for the two of us to get know each other. Evidently we both had pretty bad track records for in school temper problems and she thought it would be best if we started hanging out. Something about having a new friend being good for the two of us. We both genuinely hated the idea but she said that if she didn't see us together at least twice a day for two weeks we would both get detention until the end of semester for 'fighting in the hall.' of course neither of us could let that happen so yeah we started hanging out around each other.

My friends hated the idea too but it was something I told them we had to deal with if they wanted me to hang out with them after school the rest of the semester. It wasn't as bad as I thought though, he was fairly quiet and kept to himself any time he was around me. Then one day the principal called us into his office.

"Mrs Beringer told me she gave you two a task to hang out with each other at least twice a day for two weeks. Of course when she said that I was a little skeptical of her motives but I see now that she was on to something. I have noticed however that whenever you two are together you never converse or get involved with what the other is doing."

I looked at Connor who looked to me and then back to the principal.

"I want you two to start getting involved with each other. Talk at lunch, talk by your lockers, hell talk in class if you have to, I think this could be good for you guys."

I tapped the chairs arm lightly.

"So we have to talk to each other and then you'll all be Happy?"

He clapped once.

"Yes, good, you get it."

He stood up.

"Now I want you two to get back to class but I want you to actually say something to each other on your walk there. Can we manage that?"

"Of course."

I smiled at him and stood, looking down at Connor who was still sitting uncomfortably in the chair.
-
As we walked down the hall I kept fidgeting, Connor just looked annoyed.

"Ya know-"

"How are-"

We both said at the same time. I motioned to him.

"No, you first, please."

He rubbed his arm.

"How are you so cool with all of this? They are literally threatening us with detention if we don't seem like we've become friends."

I shrugged.

"Guess I'm just used to it. Mrs Beringer has been doing this with me since the beginning of freshman year. She gives me like little projects to get me out of punishments as long as I follow through with them. I guess she thinks it'll make me a better person yet here I am four years later with just as bad a track record as I did when is started."

He nodded.

"Ya know, we could make like a plan or something to make it seem like we're friends."

I snapped a finger gun at him.

"You're right! I've got just the thing."

We stepped up to our English class.

"Ya wanna catch me after school? We can talk it over and execute it this week to make sure it actually works."

He nodded almost eagerly.

"Yeah, ya wanna do it at my house? No one will bother us I promise."

I nodded.

"Sounds like a plan."
