Still fairly short, still not sure how I feel about the ending, but it's here and it is definitely better than the original I posted.

I stopped to catch my breath as steve took another lap. When he finally did stop he huffed and joined me on the soft lawn. He didn't even seem fazed that he'd just ran almost four miles, his demeanor was still very pleasant and he seemed content with himself. I studied his face as he people watched from our small spot under the tree.

"How do you do it?"

He looked at me a little confused.

"Do what?"

"That. I mean it's just so effortless. You run like Forest Gump on crack."

His face was still struck with confusion.

"Like what?"

"Forest Gump? On crack?"

His eyebrows drew together.

"I don't believe I know what that is."

I looked at him shocked.

"How could you not!? It's one of the best movies ever! It's so impactful and beautifully portrayed."

He just shrugged.

"I missed quite a bit under the ice I guess, but if it's something that's that important I'll definitely add it to the list."

He reached in his pocket and held up a small note pad and pen. I glanced over his shoulder to see what he'd written down. It read as follows: I love Lucy, Moon landings, Berlin Wall, Steve Jobs, Disco, Thai food, star wars/trek, nirvana, rocky (rocky two), and the trouble man soundtrack. He then added Forrest Gump to the end with a determined look on his face. I sat back and looked up at him.

"Man, you really need to get with the program."

I laughed a little at his sideways smile.

"Being a super hero doesn't really allow for a whole lot of free time."

I looked at him and motioned for him to give me the pad of paper. I flipped to the next blank page and scribbled down my name and phone number.

"You.... My friend are gonna have to call me when you get a day off...Im pretty sure I have all the cinema and music stuff on this list, I would gladly fill you in on it all if you want. Google is a good resource to start off with."

I handed it back to him and smiled as he looked over my slightly messy but legible hand writing. He titled his head up and smiled back at me.

"I will definitely do that y/n, it would be very helpful actually."

I stood up and dusted myself off, offering a hand to him. He gladly took it and followed me down the small slope back to the walk way.

"Ya know I could clue you in on some things during a walk lap."

He sighed a laugh at that.

"I guess I've got a little time."

We walked side by side and he listened intently at what I had to say.

"So your telling me that star wars and Star trek are completely different things?"

I threw my hands in the air and made a surprised noise.

"Yes! Of course they are! That's gonna have to be one of the first things we go over when we watch the two. Star wars is a series of six movies (and counting). and Star trek has been a few different show adaptions followed up with a few movies. But most importantly is that they are two vastly different things and any nerd you ask will def eat you alive for mixing them up."

I laughed at the very worried expression that graced his features.

"Will they really?"

"They will grill you and feast my friend."

"Maybe I really do need to learn more about this stuff, being eaten doesn't sound like the best fate, huh?"

We both laughed.

"Well you have my number now, so there is no reason for you not to call captain."

I nudged his arm with my elbow. He just looked at the ground and laughed a little at my insinuation. He stopped and looked up but lost his concentration on me when we heard a car horn sound out. We turned to see a slightly annoyed Tony Stark in a red sports car that I couldn't pin point the name of.

"Fury needs up pronto capsicle."

Steve bent down a bit to look in the car window and said something to him that I didn't quite hear. He turned to me and half smiled.

"Duty calls."

"That's alright I should get going anyways. But I will definitely be looking forward to that call Mr Rogers."

I started walking slowly backward and he blushed, scratching the back of his head lightly.

"And I will as soon as I have a day off,"

He crossed an x over his chest.

"I promise."
