Guess who was still sick writing this, this bitch that's who! (I gotta stop opening stories like this?) But since I was in a funk and had been reliving my childhood by watching Smallville, I decided to write about my first real crush Clark Kent himself.

Now a small disclaimer, this is the Clark Kent characterization from the show Smallville, more importantly the first couple seasons when he's still in high school. It's not from any of the movies or any of the other shows (Supergirl), it is purely based off Smallville. So if you've seen it, great, you'll understand where I'm coming from. if not, oh well, you can still read it and like Superman the way he is. Now that we've got that cleared up, onto the story!

I sat down on my bed and sighed, unwrapping the towel from around my hair. I'd slept most of the day away and figured a hot shower would help clear my sinuses. It didn't work as well as I'd hoped but oh well, at least I got a little caught up on sleep. The only thing I regretted was the amount of school I'd be missing because of this menace that was the common cold. I sighed again before sneezing and blowing my nose for what felt like the hundredth time. I stood and walked to my dresser and started brushing out my wet hair. It wasnt long before I heard a loud knock at the door, making my way downstairs fairly quickly wondering who it could be. When I swung the door open I was met with Clark staring down at me, a smile creeping slowly to his lips. He let out a small laugh.

"Glad to see you, some of us were beginning to think you'd died or skipped town."

I tried laughing at the joke but a violent cough swept over me before I could let more than a breath out. When I stopped I sighed and apologized, rubbing my face and stepping back to let Clark in.

"Yeah, I've been feeling like death believe it or not. Guess the spring weather just doesn't agree with me."

I shrugged my shoulders and looked back at him as we walked to the living room.

"Sounds like it, you've missed quite a bit at school. That's actually why I stopped by."

He sat down on the couch and let his backpack slide off his shoulder and onto the floor next to him.

"I brought you your homework."

He reached in his bag and offered me a small stack of papers. I reached for it and looked through each one.

"Thanks Clark I really appreciate that. If it weren't for you I'd probably start failing as soon as I got back."

I smiled at him and sat down, setting the papers on the coffee table in front of us. We sat in silence for a second before I chose to speak again.

"Ya know Clark I wish I could be like you, you seem to never get sick. At least not sick enough to miss school."

He smiled at me.

"Just lucky I guess."

"Yeah."

I looked away and sneezed, groaning after because I had to get up and blow my nose again. He just watched me and gave me a sad smile when I returned to the couch.

"I just wish I didn't have to stay home alone and deal with this ya know. But if anyone even tried to stay and cuddle me they'd probably catch it too."

I breathed out a small laugh and He looked at me like an idea struck him.

"I bet I wouldn't, I could stay with you if you'd like. We could watch a movie or something, I just gotta call my folks and let em know."

"No Clark I couldn't let you do that. You've got lots of things on your plate as it is, I don't want to keep you ya know."

"Really it's no big deal, like you said, I never get sick. I just gotta call home and let them know I won't be back for a while. I think my chores will understand."

I offered a small smile.

"Alright,"

I threw my hands in the air in defeat.

"The phones on the wall in the kitchen, is there any specific movie you'd like to watch?"

He stood and looked at me for a second, thinking.

"You know what, how about you pick."

I nodded, stood, and stepped over to the Hall closet containing all our films. When Clark got back I'd already put it in the VCR and piled onto the couch with a few blankets. He laughed a little when he saw me but quickly came over and sat real close, putting his arm around my shoulders and holding me close to his body.

"Thank you Clark, really, I appreciate it."

"It's no problem y/n, I've been wanting to hang out with you for a while anyways. You just happened to be dying this time."

I laughed a little before falling into a couching fit again.

"Maybe our next hangout won't involve as many tissues."

I said as I wiped my nose.

"Yeah I think that'd be good."

I smiled up at him before cuddling back into his shoulder. It wasn't long after that I fell asleep, pressed against him under the pile of blankets. He never once moved though until I woke up shortly after the movie. I sat up from his side and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes.

"Guess I slept through the whole thing huh?"

He stretched before placing his hands in his lap.

"Yeah, but that's alright, I'm sure you needed the rest anyways."

I scratched the back of my head.

"Honestly that's probably the best I've slept since I got sick, so thank you Clark, really. You didn't have to stay but you chose to anyways."

"It's no problem, really. You kind of seemed like you could use the comforting."

He offered me a small smile and I nodded.

"Yeah I guess I did."

I smiled back at him and tucked my hair behind my ears.

"Are you hungry? The least I could do is feed you."

He laughed a little and looked over at the clock in the wall.

"Actually, it's getting pretty late, I should probably get home so I can get ready for school tomorrow."

I looked over at the clock as well and scratched the back of my head.

"9:30 already, geez. You should've woken me up Clark, you didn't have to sit that long for my sake."

He just shrugged.

"It's no big deal,"

He stood up and slung his bag over his shoulder.

"Besides you seemed so peaceful I didn't want to disturb you, plus I got a little snooze out of it too."

I smiled at him, to which he returned.

"I guess you better get home huh? Do you want me to drive you or?"

"Uh no, it's no big deal. I'll see you later yeah?"

I nodded.

"Hopefully sooner rather than later."

He laughed as we walked to the door.

"Thank you Clark, really, it means a lot to me."

He stepped out onto the porch, turning around slowly to leave a small kiss to my forehead.

"Get better soon okay?"

I nodded frantically and crossed my arms over my chest, waving slightly as he stepped down the steps of my porch. When he was out of sight I stepped back in and slumped back on the couch. Clark Kent, universal good guy, who knew right?
