I had spent the whole day in the library studying. I had a job presentation coming up at the end of the week and I still wasn't entirely sure what I was basing it on. I had finally narrowed it down to three topics but since I couldn't choose just one I decided to make three power points. Each one contained the same criteria but with facts that had to do with said topic. Doing it this way made more work but at least I would be able to finally pick one and still have all the work finished. I logged off the computer after two hours of typing and searching facts to write in my new notebook.

When I was done I gathered all my stuff into my bag (minus the note book) and made my way to an empty table. I sat my notebook down and put my book bag in the chair I was planning on sitting in, before starting my hunt. I walked through each of the non fiction aisles looking, and accumulating a large stack of heavy books. When I got to the table I began doing more research on each topic, stacking the specific books in three different piles. I started with authors autobiographies, trying to get a better understanding of why they chose writing as a career.

After I finished the first stack I went back to one of the shelves to get another book that caught my eye. It was a book someone had written based on autopsies and life after death. As soon as I got the book off the shelf someone came up and grabbed me from behind. I yipped at the sudden contact and dropped my book. I looked up at the stranger who just put his finger to his lips in a shushing motion. I just stepped back from him for a second before picking the book off the floor and making my way back to the table. He followed me the whole way, keeping very close to me. When I sat, so did he. He even made a point to scoot his chair closer to mine. I just looked at him and tried to study his face as he looked over my open notebook page. When he went to turn the page I snapped.

"Okay dude what is your problem?"

He put his finger to his mouth again and turned to the last page in my note book. He looked around the library, hiding under his hat, before writing something down. When he turned it to me it read: 'dont bring attention to us.' I just rolled my eyes and threw my hands in the air. He wrote again: 'my name is Frank, I need your help.' I looked up at his bruised face. I then took the pen from him and wrote back. 'how could I possibly help you?'
He snorted a little before taking the pen. 'dont bring attention to yourself, those men are chasing me.' I picked up my gaze and looked around the library. He grabbed my shoulder and pulled me down a little. He looked at me like I was crazy. I looked around from were I was leant over and decided to whisper to him this time.

"Okay, I'll help you but you have to play along. I'm y/n by the way."

He nodded his head at me and went to follow my lead. I scanned over the table before sighing. I hadn't realized that when I dropped my book I had actually grabbed the wrong one.

"What's wrong?"

"I grabbed the wrong book. I have to go back to get the one I need."

"No, you can't."

"I can, and I will. Just tag along."

I stood and winked at him before turning on my heel and making my way back to the book self. He hesitated a second before standing abruptly and making his way to were I was standing. I scanned over the books that I had previously been gawking at. Of course I forgot that the one I wanted was the shelf just above my reach. I grabbed the sliding library stool and got the book I wanted. I looked over at Frank who was watching me cautiously before i stepped down.

"Don't look like that babe. I wasn't gonna fall."

He furrowed his eyebrows at me before realizing.
