I sighed deeply and stared at the ceiling. We had all decided staying at an air bnb would be good binding time for the band. So here I was, laying in the middle of a king sized bed wide awake at ten at night, with Vinny and Ricky on either side of me sound asleep. After the game night we had all agreed on, they we wore the fuck out. The only bad thing was that no matter how tired I was, I was beyond paranoid at the thought of someone needing something in the middle of the night. It was always something I had an issue with. All my friends back home called me the mom friend, always the one who was there to take care of you when everyone else was busy or alseep. Beside, I was always last to sleep at a sleepover, but this was rediculous. I knew Ryan would still be up and he had his own room, having the small space and the smaller of the beds. A full not being exactly comfortable for two grown men. Meaning that Chris and Justin had been banished to the pill out couch.

I ran my hands over my face before deciding I couldn't handle it anymore. I sat up slowly, pushing myself up to the pillows as carefully as I could so I wouldn't wake vin or Rick. I started pulling my legs out from under the comforter but froze when Vinny rolled over. I sighed in relief and stood up on the bed, being careful not to pull the blanket with me as I walked carefully down to the end of the bed. I looked back into the room for a moment to make sure the two men were still asleep before I slipped through the cracks open door and out into the hallway. It was dark everywhere except for the smallest bit of light coming out from under Ryan's door. I smiled to myself, looking both ways down the hallway to make sure no one was coming, and walking slowly over the creaky floorboards to Ryan's room. I knocked lightly, waiting for a response.

"I swear to God Justin if you-"

He paused when he swung the door open and found me instead of Justin, who I'd assumed had been pestering him for a bit before going to bed. I wave at him.

"Hi, not Justin."

I smiled at him and laughed.

"I see that."

He offered a small smile.

"What's up?"

I rubbed my arm with my hand.

"I couldn't sleep, and I was hoping you'd still be up."

Then he realized what I was asking.

"Oh, yeah, of course. Wanna come in?"

He stepped to the side.

"Thanks."

I walked in and looked around the room, it was the first time I'd seen it since we arrived earlier in the day. I sat on the edge of the bed and watched him walk to his open bag on the floor.

"You mind if I finish changing? I was just getting my stuff ready to go to bed."

I waved to him.

"Be my guest."

"Cool."

I watched him pick up one of his faded black shirts that I'd seen a thousand times on tour and lay it out on the small gossip bench looking thing under the window.

"So, what did you think of that game we played earlier?"

I asked, picking at the loose thread of the comforter, watching him pull his shirt up over his head. I admired his neck/shoulder tat as he tossed his shirt back into his bag. He shrugged.

"I think it was alright, it's always a fun time playing board games with you cause you get excited easily."

He turned around and winked at me, pushing his arms into the new shirt. I looked down and blushed as he swung it up and over his head.

"Guess I just really like playing games."

I looked up at him as he made his way to the bed and sat down to the right of me. He nudged my arm.

"There's nothing wrong with that, it's cute."

I smiled down at my lap before looking back at him.

"You really think so?"

He nodded.

"Yeah, I think all the guys like you're energy when we do stuff together."

I nodded in understanding.

"Oh, yeah."

Part of me was hoping he meant it was cute cause he liked me but oh well. I played with my fingers and he swayed into me before swaying back away.

"But I think it's especially cute when you cheer other people on, even if you're loosing."

I met his gaze and laughed at the goofy smile he was giving me.

"Gee thanks."

He smiled wider.

"No really, I think it's great."

I stared into his eyes for a second, maybe longer than I should have. His smile slowly got smaller but didn't totally fade. I reached up and cupped his face with my left hand, scratching at his beard and running my thumb over his cheek bone. I watched him look from my eyes to my lips and back. Before I knew it I had no control of myself any more, my body pushing itself forward into him, kissing him softly. When I pulled back I dropped my hand to my lap and immediately regretted my decision, looking straight ahead of me to avoid his gaze.

"Sorry, I shouldn't have done that."

I looked down at my lap for a second but then he gently grabbed my chin and turned my head to look back at him.

"I'm glad you did."

I felt kind of confused. I looked at his lips, slowly bringing my gaze back up to his. He bit his lip before pushing forward and kissing me again. It was slow and passionate, like he was trying to engrave into his brain exactly what I tasted like. When he pulled away he rested his forehead on mine.

"I hope Vinny doesn't mind I'm kissing his girl."

I laughed.

"Dork, you know we're not a thing."

He laughed at me.

"Yeah but it feels like it."

I pulled away from him a little bit, cupping my hands on either side of his face and bringing him to kiss me again.

"Then I guess we better be quiet."
