Prompt: You wind up pregnant after he gets home from the war in Vietnam, you don't get a chance to tell him before he goes off to help Scott at the x mansion, he dies before anyone finds out your pregnant.

Okay so originally I wanted to make a story with him but this is definitely not that. It's more so about him in the fact that he is mentioned because this follows apocalypse and he is dead already. I must say writing toward the end of this sort of hit me in a weak spot and I kind of teared up a bit. If you've lost someone you cared deeply about I'm sure you might as well. Also I'm not sure the ending dialog flows but I tried.

Since Alex had been home we had been glued to each other's sides. It was enough to have him home but he gave me all the attention he could. Including some much needed tlc. We were both very affectionate to each other and always found a way to get back to bed. Soon days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months, and after finding ourselves in bed more often I found myself pregnant.

I had only gone to the doctor once before Alex found out about his brothers new powers. And being the wonderful girlfriend that i was I wasn't going to stop him from helping Scott. If I told him about the baby he sure as hell wouldn't have gone, at least not by himself. And he didn't need me around for this, so I stayed home for his trip to the x mansion.

I woke up to a call from Alex's parent's. They told me I had to come to the house as soon as possible but it didn't really seem out of the blue. They invited me to their house more than they invited Alex, I thought, so it wasn't really that big of a deal. When I got there, there was only one car in the driveway, assuming Alex had taken the other one with his kid brother. I walked to the porch and knocked on the front door. When it swung open I found Mrs Summers balling her eyes out and pulling me in for a warm hug. I was shaken and confused. She stood back and pulled me into the living room, sitting me down on the couch.

"Y/n, we need to tell you something."

She sniffled out. Not before long she was joined by her husband.

"We just got a call from Xavier's school."

I looked between the two of them and sigh-laughed once.

"Okay?"

Mrs Summers came to join me on the couch and held my hands in hers.

"They told us that something happened. That something happened, to Alex."

I screwed my eyebrows together.

"What do you mean?'

"There, was an explosion."

I looked between her and Mr Summers a few times.

"He was the closest to the blast. He, he didn't make it."

She choked out the last part. I just stood abruptly and walked to the other end of the couch. My back was to her so she couldn't see the tears falling freely from my eyes. I sobbed once and covered my mouth with hand. I turned to look at her through my blurry, bloodshot eyes.

"Where is the school?"

I pulled up the school building being rebuilt with flying parts. It was magical for a second before I remembered why I was there. I slammed my car door shut and walked up the front steps into the main foyer. I was met with a tall man with short dark hair and glasses.

"Uh, can I help you?"

I looked around at the students moving around and between us before going down the few steps to be face to face with him. I looked to the floor, cleared my throat, and found his gaze again.
