I looked down at the paper in front of me, scanning the address again before knocking on the door. I bounced my leg and anxiously waited for the door. When it clicked I looked up and saw ned standing in the door way. He smiled widely at me.

"Peter it's for you!"

He shouted, turning out of the door way to let me in. I ducked past him and watched as a small woman emerged from the kitchen wiping her hands on a towel.

"You must be y/n, Peter told me you were coming. I'm his aunt may."

She offered her hand and I shook it.

"It's nice to meet you."

"Likewise, Peter's in his room, I'm sure ned can get you there."

He nodded.

"It's this way."

I followed him to a closed door and stepped through it after him. Peter was sat at a desk behind the door, looking intently at his computer screen.

"Look Pete."

He looked up for a second and just stared at me, then realization struck him.

"Shit."

I rubbed my arm nervously. He stood abruptly and started tossing the clothes on his bed into the bottom of his closet.

"I'm sorry I completely forgot, here you can sit if you want."

I smiled at him and then ned before walking to the bed and sitting.

"Nice room."

He rubbed the back of his neck.

"Thanks, ned helped me move everything."

I nodded.

"Speaking of which, ned, would you mind-"

"You don't have to do that Peter."

He laughed nervously and sent ned a look.

"That's okay y/n, I was just getting ready to leave anyways when you got here, that's why I answered the door."

He offered me a smile.

"I'll see ya later Pete."

"Yeah I'll see ya later buddy."

I watched ned leave through the open door as Peter sat beside me.

"I'm sorry I forgot you were coming, I had a lot of stuff to do after school today and lost track of time."

"It's alright, I mean I texted you, I was just nervous about getting the wrong house."

We both laughed a little.

"I guess it's a good thing ned answered the door huh?"

I nodded.

"Definitely a comfort."

He smiled at me.

"Well even though I forgot, I'm glad youre here now."

I rubbed my hands on my legs to rid them of their sweat.

"Yeah me too."

We both walked up the stairs to the front of the school together. Our hands barely grazing each other as we walked. I laughed at something he said but stopped when I looked up. He kept moving until he realized I wasn't next to him anymore. I stared ahead of me at Ronnie, standing tall with his arms crossed over his chest. I breathed deeply before stomping up the stairs to meet him. I looked up at him sternly.

"I told you if he laid a hand on you his ass was mine."

"Guess it's a good thing he didn't lay a hand on me then."

I stood my ground as I felt Peter shift behind me. I watched Ronnie's face and eyes move from mine to Peter's. He dropped his arms and I watched as he gripped Peter's shoulder.

"Look champ, I get it, you like her. I mean what's not to like, prime real estate."

I rolled my eyes.

"But you can't have her, ya see she's still my girl."

I grabbed Ronnie's chin and turned his head to look at me.

"Ronnie, I'm not your girl anymore, and besides, you can protect me from any creep you want but if I wanna hang out with Peter I'm not gonna let you do anything to him."

He let go of Pete's shoulder and moved his hands to my waist, looking in my eyes deeply.

"Babe."

I pushed his hands away.

"Don't 'babe' me."

I grabbed Peter's hand and pulled him past Ronnie and into the school. When we were inside the door I let go and sighed heavily.

"I'm sorry about that Peter, I know I told you already but he really is super protective of me."

He just shrugged.

"I get it, he just doesn't want you to get hurt, but I promise I'm not gonna let anything happen to you."

I patted his shoulder.

"Thanks Pete."

He nodded his head to the side as the bell rung.

"C'mon we should probably get to class."

I nodded back.

"Your right, I wouldn't want to feel the wrath of madam science."

We both laughed as he took my hand and swung our arms as we walked down the hall.
